i dont know many ppl who would break these games down to their followers,rly interesting for some1 like me whos just coming back to retail after years and who wants to stomp some plebs in arenas..youre also humble enough to honor your opponents by saying what u said at the start of the video - you can easily tell you got a nice personality no homo bro - keep doing your thing

holding onto combustion when the enemy team has high awareness means you keep the mental pressure on them. They know how vulnerable they are. They are not out of the woods if they survive. It's like having a kick available that they healer has to factor into whether they can cast a heal.

Hey xar, doubt i am in the place to judge ur gameplay but im currently playing rm on 2.5-2.6cr and against rele target what i do is cheapshot into nightblade shadowstrike then kidny mfd evis then breath, by doing that ur rogue alone should be able to do more than half of the monk's hp, you will have much easier time against those rele targets

Love the breakdown vids are usual. Just have to get in on the relentless argument you're making though. To argue that you and the rogue are over committing cds in the opener only to get two from the monk is a moot point. Unless the opener is derailed by unusual circumstances (caught in stealth/invis), it is a guarantee to force CDs. If this monk didn't have human racial, it dies in two goes instead of three. He nearly dies in one stun DR (didn't even commit a kidney) while playing relent (probably has to play +20% vers as well). No trinket and no relent would be a guarantee kill in a single stun DR. How is that balances from the monks standpoint? A player (healer in this case) would have to preemptively commit defensive CDs to survive, playing perfectly just to live through every stun DR while the rogue/mage spam all their on-use trinkets and necks? Not very compelling gameplay on either side of this. More needs to change in arena than racials/relentless.

I have noticed you often play with your camera very zoomed in. Do you find this helps your situational awareness or is it just a preference for you visually? I’m always max zoom and I’m wondering if that’s something I should try.

How can you say the game design is flawed due to not forcing the monks trinket in the opener? You're not even combusting .. so you're saying a better design would be, just make the monk use everything so there's nothing left without even committing fully to the go?

im by no means as good as you are, but i feel like rogue/mage just prays to not go against rdruid/destro lock, we won 7 games last night against rogue mage at around 2300-2400 rating so the players aren't terrible, lock just seems very good vs rogue mage with conflict major and 20% versa build

Xar, I don’t know about saying that you didn’t get enough in the opener. I think the reason you’re saying that is because cocoon is always viewed as a minor cd. I think the issue is actually how short cocoon’s cd is. I mean ultimately, yeah he sat the stuns due to relent, but between cocoon and safeguard, he has like 2.5x his normal life. Plus safeguard isn’t a short cd. Not to be this guy but don’t let your bias show saying RM needs more damage lol. There’s just no way that’s the issue.

i play assa rogue in 2s with a holypala and sometimes with a disc priest. i am arround 2300/2400mmr and i never lose to rogue mage. its seems like they cant win against my combo. i always let my healer fight with the mage until the rogue comes out of stealth and then i just beat the rogue. he cant survive my go. no idea why anyone would play rogue mage in 2s. its shit since years.

Mate most decent people know already everything you are saying HOWEVER, doing all this things in such a short period of time is what separates players like you from players like me. You realize that you are multitasking several different aspects of the game 4-5 times faster than a decent 2000-2400 players. Let me break this down further. Managing your own dmg rotation, knowing how play defensive and offensive efficiently , positioning, paying attention to DR, counting enemy defensive cooldowns while creating your own strategy offensively and all this is done in such a quick amount of time over and over again. And there is probably more aspects of the arena match you are keeping an eye off. When you are breaking down the matches you have to PAUSE and it takes you good 15-20 seconds to say the things you see in just a second or two. I miss to see good chunk of things while just watching, and you see more while playing, that alone tells me your eye and brain reaction speed is 3-4 times better than mine. I dont have time to see most things enemy team does coze i am busy managing my own rotation position and watching what cc my healer is in. When it comes to offense i just do scripted goes whats not on DR use that to cc on enemy healer and try to down enemy dps which have all-ready used a major defensive cooldown and hope for the best. Sry for the wall of text. TLDR: Fast multitask thinking skills gets you high rating

These are all great players. But I mean.. 1 cast and and 2 instants (no major cooldown!) does 65k dps, monk (survived by miracle) and used 2 cd's - the game is flawed cause monk didn't trinket... I have to be the only dude in wow who believes that Mage Rogue, a comp that has been around since the start of wow and arena every season, is and has been "flawed" the whole time. Also, if he had trinketed (which in most situations he has to if he is alone, otherwise he is dead) the game was lost for him right then and there. And you didn't even use any of your cd's. Yeah... game design issue there for sure. Force all their cd's and use none of your own.

So.. a rogue mage at 2.5mmr complaining about the cd's they are forcing out of mw on opening (without using combust) , ending up winning the game without using any major dmg cd's. That's ridiculous... the fact that this comp is played so much by bad, medium, and good players says so much. It is broken and a joke and it's only possible to have a fair chance against on 3s. The cc is absurd and the damage even more absurd. Double dps shouldn't stand a chance against healer dps in 2s but yet you see rogue mages everywhere. I'm totally fine with it since it's fun to blow up teams like that but.. dude... don't complain about the cons.. it's ridiculous..
