www.funhorsetraining.com In this video I show you how to teach your horse to back up. I also explain the importance of teaching your horse to back up and how it impacts on all other aspects of your riding.
it would be nice to see these trainers show the horse back up when it's green. this horse is already trained to do this. I like the way it doesn't try and bite his leg like mine lol I'm still going to take his advise into consideration. open mind!
+charles salad Great Idea! I will be doing more videos on problem horses with this particular issue in the future : ) Again it doesn't really matter if your horse is green or not what matters is your ability to reward the slightest try and build on that try as you go along. Initially it will seem like your not getting much but after a few repetitions your horse will start to offer up more. Make sure you start with very minimal pressure and build gradually to as much pressure as it takes to get the response. Let me know how you go and if you have any more questions : )
I've been watching a lot of horse training videos and I like yours the best - not a lot of jargon I don't understand. When are you going to make more videos?
It does mot help when you show a horse that is already trained. For someone learning they are teaching a horse that does not know and then you teach the problems with a new horse.
