Also that pretty much applies to every grunt suit be it a Zaku or a GM or whatever they are called in different universes, like the entire premise of Gundam is literally a brand new mobile suit made from a very brand new material with brand new weapons and concepts destroying Zaku's like they are paper zaku already a name that was jokingly made in relation to the Japanese word for inferior(Zako), albeit be it GM or Zaku all grunt suits are mob characters meant to elevate the mc's presence by depicting them being able to dish out massive casualties on the opponents side, that is despite there having mass produced the gundam and even made similar units to the original and even created the MkII some of them just aren't up to par and pilot at the same level as your average grunt unable to maximize the capability of the mobile suit, generally it's always down to the pilot of the mobile suit on whose cockpit is getting wrecked because Shiro Amada even in a ball unit could take on a Zaku in fact a lot of capable ball pilots were able to take on mobile suits and even ships especially the bomber type ball which still haunts me to this day because they are literally spreading mines in an entire lagrange point and only they know where those mines are and they can navigate through said minefield and even manually detonate bombs to destroy enemy mobile suits or ships that have the audacity to trespass their space property and blow them to high heaven without even fighting them directly or firing a single shot, mfers just look at them and say come at me bro
