The amphibious Acguy used by Daryl Lorenz's team is noticeably smaller than the standard version, being approximately 13 meters tall. Its Iron Nails were replaced with three-fingered manipulators, and its head, arms, and back can be fitted with various optional units, such as sensors and weapons, for specific roles.
The Principality of Zeon’s standard amphibious MSM-04 Acguy saw wide use on Earth during the One Year War in UC 0079. It continued to see use after the war with Zeon remnants committed to fighting the Earth Federation Forces. In August UC 0080, Zeon remnants deployed a specially outfitted Acguy team under the command of Daryl Lorenz to retrieve a spy embedded in the South Seas Alliance. The Enemy Search Type specializes in intelligence gathering and command, the Firepower Type provides fire support and serves as the rear guard, the Heavy Firepower Type acts as the primary combat element, and the Maneuver Type serves as the vanguard and scout, and support the other units.
