I had toyed with the idea of snagging one of these MT10 trucks but it looks like their plastics are still a bit fragile. I had a MGT8.0 back in the day and broke most plastics from those body posts to multiple upper and lower arms and shock towers and I know weather is a factor but still your last jump to me at least didn’t seem bad enough to cause the breakage it did but looks like it was. It’s a bit of a shame from how this truck handles and with a current sale going I had hopes for it but I think I may hold off for now, gonna stick to my arrmas and traxxas have just had better luck bashing both than ae’s.
Watch Kevin Talbots video it took some insane amount of punishment. This guy here didn't land a single jump properly plus it was cold. And there is a tougher aftermarket replacement for the part he broke that's basically the only thing that breaks on this truck.
That looked like you did not like that rc before you even ran it. That driving was horrible and like you could not be bothered. I dont have this rc so dont mind either way if its good or not but if you are going to do a review put in a bit of effort or dont bother.
How da hell u managed to break MT10,jeez having it like 2 years did impossible things with it,no other car couldnt survive what he did,and still driving without issues...
Are you going to video the repair ? I’ve just bought one and last night smashed it into a kerb and have exactly the same damage as yours so obviously a weak point and yea it was also cold out . Would love to see a repair video
i'm guessing you need to go a little heavier on the diff oil, it seems these trucks like to wheelie with a 3S and when you do, the front tires will spin way faster and balloon and then when the truck comes down off that wheelie, the front tires dig into the ground and cause it to nose dive and flip, maybe a more experienced racer can chime in. i'm surprised it's still doing that in those colder temps. they must be using baby oil in the diff lol.
also i've seen the previous version with the blue/white body get bashed way harder and survive. i've seen only a few videos on the V2 and they are all breaking, this isn't a good sign. i was going to order one of these but i think i'll look for another brand. i used to be an RC10 owner from 86 to 2005. they don't make them like they used to.
Honestly all RC cars will break. It's just how it is. Fixing them is part of the fun. I've broken pretty much all the bashers from the popular brands. Tekno has been the most sturdy when it comes their trucks. Way more durable than Arrma and Traxxas.
