It took a while to say the least, but here we go. Are you ready to re-experience Team Beer and their road to the World Finals? It was one hell of a ride and I've packed the best bits of 17 games into 35 minutes of HoN action. I hope you enjoy.
The NA/EU/CIS regions were given one spot in the World Finals and some of our best turned up to fight for it. Team Beer, with its star packed roster, was favored to at least end among the top 3. However, it would by no means be easy to get there.
The qualifier turned out not to be a walk in the park, when they faced Klanx for the first time. The Russian team Question Mark put everything into the strong carry, who even got an annihilation in one of the team fights. After a rough start, where everything seemed to go wrong, Team Beer managed to shape up and win through excellent coordination.
The next time they faced the troublesome Klanx, was against ECx. Ragroste would get his hands on Klanx twice and with massive plays by Mr`Trumpsta and Z4NE, ECx would sweep the series 2-0. However, Team Beer would get their revenge in the Loser Bracket Finals. No Klanx was seen that series and that meant 2-0 for Team Beer.
They would move on to the Grand Finals, where the undefeated Freelancers were awaiting. Although the almost complete former roster of coL managed to take game 1 through their classic late game, Team Beer would come back with a rather surprising pick. The Gladiator. And what a game it was. `Makke hit pitfall after pitfall and of course I have to mention that dream crushing Rhapsody ultimate by iNsania! Team Beer were back in the game. 1-1.
Most of us were surprised when they once again picked up the Gladiator. Surely, `Makke couldn't repeat such a great performance? But he did. A couple of huge pitfalls later, Team Beer were ready compete in the World Finals.
A huge shoutout to Team Beer for putting up with such a great show, game after game. Whether it's Boxi with his clutch dodges, m`ICKe outplaying his opponents, `Makke yoloing, Xibbe playing Puppet (9/17 games, seriously?!) or iNsania saving you all from your overconfidence, it's always a blast watching you guys!
And let's not forget the substitutes, Slaskedyret and cerenia. Thank you for stepping in and providing entertainment when the others couldn't.
A big thank you to all the casters who provided us with all this content. Breaky, Matthewmatical, Teltook, Superkge, Nir, Ragroste and all the other community casters. We would never have had the possibility to enjoy the games without you!
