Shadeur looks on point. He’s getting rid of the ball faster and not holding on so long like he did last season. Travis Hunter is Travis Hunter, Shilo looks faster and more precise. But other than that this game wasn’t anything too crazy.

As a husker fan this did nothing but get me more hyped for this game week 2: Sanders is making really quick snappy decisions and delivering the ball on time, the receiver core in boulder is electric, this is going to be a great game. Will be interesting to see a game where we have 2 superstar QBs facing off and a game where one team doesnt turn the ball over 11 times lol

Something that can be attributed to coach prime 100% is #36. If you watch all the videos from practice like I do, you’ve seen him just build his confidence and really teach him the position and it showed up immediately when the lights are on. What a great play on the ball right there, really good stuff, won’t be surprised when he starts taking 1st team reps.

They need to develop their players from a size standpoint, i.e. weekly reporting weight goals which is standard at most programs (to naturally put on 20-30lbs for the big guys), so that they can physically match up and be able to run the ball to avoid becoming one dimensional. Unless it's intentional to create a narrative for why the need to rely solely on Shedeur to pass and not use the running game.

Colorado will basically be a carbon copy of last season. Casual fans want to watch all the flash from receivers and impact players, but true fans, who understand the game, watch the lines of scrimmage in these type of practice games. Neither one of these lines are all that great. The offensive line was allowing a whole lot of defenders into the backfield, from an average, to maybe slightly better then average defensive line, which is not a very good sign. Sanders will be getting hurried and sacked, early and often this year, just like last year. This team has a great QB, and an elite #1 receiver with a couple decent #2 receivers, and that's about it. Both lines are average, linebackers are average at best, and defensive backfield is average at best. Their going to be really good at passing, their going to struggle running the ball against decent, experienced defenses, and their going to struggle to stop the run defensively. All that equals carbon copy. I see no real improvement from last season, except maybe the defensive line is slightly better and more athletic. This team and program is quickly becoming a place where linebackers and running backs go to die. I hear a lot of people claiming that Dieon is only here to get his boys, and Hunter attention and to get them drafted and then he's gone. I also see a lot of hopeful Colorado fans, and Dieon fans trying to dispute this, however with the lack of development and improvements on the lines of scrimmage, or linebackers, or a running game, I'm starting to believe the naysayers on this one. Also, I'm starting to think that coach Sanders was somehow convinced that, because of his name and star power, the the elite of elite 4 and 5 star recruits that go to the Ohio State's and Georgia's and Alabama's and Texas and Oaklahoma programs of the world would be knocking his door down by now, but that just doesn't seem to be the case. He's going to have to do way better with his recruiting then ranked in the 60's or whatever they are, if he expects to ever compete with the elite programs and win anything that matters. In the last 20 or so years, the teams who win conference championships and make playoff runs, or natty runs, almost always need to recruit in at least the top 10, or 15 and your just never going to win a national championship without recruiting in the top 3 to 5.

I like the way they are looking. It’s just a spring game and they are not going 100 obviously. It’s a chance to get a feel for things and can make adjustments before the season starts.

The thing that's should help Colorado is that their going into a weaker conference than last year. The top teams in Big 12 are Okla State and Kansas State. Enough said. They should qualify for a bowl game. Notice the crowd attendance this year. Yeah, people won't support losing. Based on last season, fans are not sure this year. Neither am i.

Between the two main videos on CU Buffs Spring game there are 900+ comments. Oregon? 60+. Alabama? 30+ comments. No team/coach is more loved and hated and followed than the Buffs. Like him or hate him, he’s made the program relevant. Relevant makes money. Even more so than winning it would seem.

People are so dumb half their players aren’t even there yet or about to commit plus it was raining with little to no tackling. This teams gonna sweep the league just watch.

If they try and run Shilo out there single high/middle field closed, they are going to get destroyed by most offenses in the country. I’m not sure how Shilo is first team, and please don’t come at me, I watch the tape and I know what I’m watching, he’s not a good player and he’s certainly not a centerfield type of player. What’s weird is the one safety they had that actually could do that job, they demoted and forced him to change positions to linebacker. No competition for coaches son I guess. That’s one of the weirder things I don’t like, it is definitely not a meritocracy I don’t care what anyone says. I’m a fan of prime and the buffs but that would be probably my main criticism. I’m not a hater I just know what I’m looking at, he shouldn’t be starting, ESPECIALLY single high free safety, that’s laughable to anyone that knows what they’re looking at, the teams on their schedule will be licking their lips at the thought of him being single high trying to defend the middle of the field by himself.. it’s going to be chunk play after chunk play, any run not stopped by the DL/LB is going to be a house call, because he takes terrible angles and whiffs completely OR he escorts them down the sideline for an extra 15 yards or so. Shilo is good for 1 hit a game on someone that wasn’t looking or expecting to be hit, and then the rest of his plays he’s either walking up to the pile after the play is over or he missed his assignment completely, was fooled by a simple fake taking himself out of the play entirely, or he takes a bad angle and whiffs on the ball carrier, those are your options. Don’t take my word for it, go pay a CFB tape plug and watch it for yourself. I think there’s a role for him, I actually think he’s decent in man coverage for someone his size, like he could be a tight end eraser like a matchup player that plays head up on a receiving TE, or maybe down in the box if he could get his eyes straightened out and not be fooled by fakes and play action so much.. but range is not his forte, he’s not good in space, he’s not a good zone player, he takes bad angles and those are like the essentials for playing single high, he has none of them. I really don’t get it, it’s confusing as hell to me.
