Hey Turin, this is DarkHunterEzra, great game yesterday. I felt slightly under pressure during those finals so I did make a lot of mistakes such as not making an early farm transition to make enough troops to support my teammate, but you could eventually see the tech switch from the knights on horseback to the knights of the ground (the MAA).. this basically countered most of the Abbasid and Malian comp and allowed shatter’s zhuges and crossbows to massacre the enemy army. Was a bit surprised at how quickly Leto and Jarin surrendered after wiping their armies and bombarding their tc, had they stayed a few minutes on we might have had trouble against Badabuchi and acrawford. I reviewed the final hold and my sacred decap against them and I saw a few things I could have done. One was making a few docks and demo shipping their army posturing in the river, followed up by carracks. Sorry for the biome, Naniyori told me that you liked it, now that I know that you find it as annoying as I do should I host a finals again I won’t use it again. A great tournament as always, lots of fun. See you in the next one.
Very true. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the enemy making it into Minas Tirith. I thought it was better in the books that the Witch King comes striding through the gate, and right before he and Gandalf are about to throw down, they both get called off.
Have mercy Turin, trying to watch all the Aoe4 and CoH content but drowning in all this content. Loving it all, not enough time in the day. I guess I must watch in my sleep...
Talking about lord of the rings.... I feel like the movies missed the entire point of the books. It's the events when the Hobbits go back to the shire that are Tolkiens' message to the world about coming home from war that's so much larger than yourself. What war does to those after. The journey isn't the point of Lord of the Rings imo.
I was teal from the first game: all of those towers you can see the wreckage of were HRE stone cannon towers that had emergency repairs. 5 great bombards couldn't even one shot them. We were trying to get through that the whole time.
