I recently acquired a 46 CJ2-A that my Grandfather bought from one of the mines in WV when he worked there. Planning on fully restoring it. Your channel is going to be such a huge resource!! Hoping to get it up and running before he passes.
Love the intro Scott.. :) great video, but I couldn’t help notice the different T-shirt than the prior videos. 😆 I am forever grateful for your advice and you do an amazing job helping keep the passion moving forward.
The accelerator spring automatically closes the throttle cable on my 48 CJ2A when I let go, does this indicate that it’s working properly? Thanks John!
I notice your engine has head bolts vs studs. My 51 3A engine had bolts. It was also painted Ford engine blue, and bored .30 over but I’m curious what designated whether an engine got bolts or studs?
How does the throttle cable function on the carburetor? Doesn't the throttle-return spring cause the throttle to close and overwhelm the function of the cable?
I just purchase the throttle linkage. The connection at the carb rubs up against the carb - I have taken three #10 washers and epoxied them together - hopefully so they won't slip around the bend. You cant cut off the tip because the hole is too close to the end of the rod. Any other ideas?
