I have two of the TLC2000 size. I keep both loaded with 8lb braid and a 6lb flourocarbon tippet of 6 or 7 feet. The drags are outstanding and they are just a pleasure to cast small lures, jigs and spinners with. Excellent smallmouth bass reel.
Thanks for the video, still on the fence about this one though.. Love what I'm seeing but ill have to check on the warranty and some more research..Tight lines to you...
I only use LEWS, last time I used Shimano was in 2012. All 3 companies make good reels, you just have to compare the same price points between the companies to see which you like better. LEWS has good bang for your buck.
I just bought the lews custom black spinning combo, it has a light click at the top of reel revolution? Cant be normal right? It bugs the shit out of me! Its brand new.
I bought the same combo (Custom Black)and I had super high hopes. I was almost immediately let down on how loud the reel was. I completely disassembled it cleaned and greased and it sounds the same. My high end Shimano blows it out of the water. I see your comment is a year old, how did the reel turn out?
@@brentblack5025 I’m still here haha….I called lews and they sent me a refurbished reel but NOT a NEW one wtf! but Dicks sporting goods gave me a refund cuz they didn’t have any More in stock and let me keep the refurbished one …so it’s alright. Refurbished one doesn’t click. I guess their QC just sucks! Either way still a disappointment and hassle and I Don’t think I’d buy another Lews.
Hey Thomas I'm sorry for spamming you bro but could you do a teardown of this fishing reel like a full cleaning please just fully take apart and clean oil n regrease it

There’s a guy his channel is called something like Fishin with Gramps he breaks down one of those Mach 2 reels and they’re super similar to this reel. Check the video out
@@evanmadson yeah well when I took mine apart for some reason one of the main gears I forgot the name ended up fucking up I don't know how like I was very careful and diligent and just one of the main gears on it just completely fucked up I was lucky enough where when I sent it to lose they fixed it for free but still man the real is amazing but taking apart is extremely finicky for some reason because it's simple but for some reason man it just fucking broke and did not want to go back together the same way of course I got it back together the same way just one of the gears fucked up and it didn't spin like it should have
@@jonnypage9484 you probably overtightened the screw that holds the idler gear and crushed the bearing beneath it. I've worked on a lot of reels where people took them apart and had that problem, then brought them to me to fix it. A simple replacement of the bearing, and it's good to go. Assuming that was the culprit anyway. Which I suspect it was. Just a heads up for the future. Be very careful not overtighten any screws. Especially ones above a bearing.
@@kylemolletfishing9123 Oh my God 😂🤌🤌 All I needed to do was to shim it and I sent it out and lost days of fishing because of that I'm going to be pissed I do I tried to get a detailed report on what was wrong.. But they couldn't give me an answer I was really lucky for the Dick's sporting goods insurance program which is phenomenal by the way so
Informative, but... dude! Listen to your voice inflection! Every phrase ends on an up-inflection, leaving the listener hanging. After 2 or 3, though, give us a few down-inflections to end the thought and give us mental closure. Then go on. Yes, it sounds nit-picky - but it will do wonders for you, I promise!
