Football needs to get the hockey rule for offside. One foot needs to be kept onside. (This way it’s not as abusable and they aren’t up to interpretation). And the attacker aren’t given enough of an advantage to change the natural flow of the game.

in my opinion there’s only one reasonable offside rule, it should only be offside if the hips or bellow are ahead of the defender, everything that’s above the hips can be ahead because the natural movement of running is with your torso angled forward. also think the current offside rule takes the credit off the attackers movements. (sorry if you didn’t understand, i’m not a native speaker)

I think the simplest solution to the offside thing is just to put a time limit on VAR. If you can't tell within 30 seconds that the call is wrong, it's not clear and obvious therefore you can't overturn it

i get were you're coming from, but rushing referees to a decision will make it even more prone to errors

@luis541 I get that, but I guess what I'm more after is getting the on field officials to be less dependent on VAR. It just feels like we're at a point where the on field referee just defaults to VAR to make the call for them, and that's not what it was meant to do. The point of VAR when it was first introduced was to correct "Clear and Obvious Errors", not to officiate the match entirely. I don't think it necessarily would rush officials, but instead put more of an emphasis on the "clear and obvious" part. With respect to the Coventry game, I think we can all agree that, on the field, in that moment, it looks to be onside. And regardless of the final call, I think it's too close to lass the "clear and obvious" test, and the call on the field should stand

The Claudia Pina finesse thing isn't a height thing I think. The golazo van Persie has the same thing in my experience. Not to the same extent but he shoot much faster and the connections to the ball is cleaner than most other finesse+ cards.

i think the arsene wenger rule is perfect, but i guess another solution might be putting a time limit on decisions for VAR (e.g 45seconds)

I'm pretty sure that Madden has the feature to pick which card design you want to use after upgrading players in MUT. So it seems like the feature already exists within the confines of EA. The green evo design is just so disgusting when they actually smashed card designs this year.
