I did a walk through of the factory last year with Matt. It is a very simple operation they have. Absolutely nothing fancy like Ikon or the other big names, but they take their time and build an extremely good boat. They don't rush a build to get production numbers. The fact that Matt did a walk through for about 2 hours with me, my wife, son, and I'm not anyone that has any social media influence speaks about the type of people there so much. I can't say enough good things about Bullet
My 2024 Falcon 215 rod lockers open the other way... I love it that way..... You can uload and un-load your rods from outside the boat.. Its much much easier than the traditional open sideways style rod lockers...
Ive loved all 3 bullets ive owned. 21xd, 20xrd and now a 21xrs. I just got back from a Lake Erie BFL, multiple 90 mile round trips for practice and long days in the waves. These boats are strong and light but the length really makes them ride great. You do have to know how to drive them for them to ride well but once you understand what the boat likes they are amazing in rough water. They fish shallower than any other glass boat out there. One of the biggest livewells out there. Super good on gas and handel better than any boat ive been in at idle and at speed. My xrs currently runs 76-78 fully tournament loaded with two people. Still working on setup as ive had the boat half a year now. Ive had it over 80 solo. This boat passes everyone in my division of tournamnets and is a beast in the waves at blast off. I have several videos off all bullets on my channel and you can see how well they perform. Ive been to the factory 3 times. Matt and Tom are super good people, you can sit and talk about boats for hours. Its amazing how simple their processes are, but the time involved in a build and the attention to detail shows in the finshed product.
I just moved down to TN (outside of Chattanooga), right near Chickamauga Lake and they're everywhere...and they're beautiful. Pretty sure I've seen every single brand of bass boat in just a week of being there.
I agree all I need up front is a trim switch and never understood why we had "switch salad" on the front control panels. Love to have a Bullet one day.
Great video Andy!! I am the proud owner of a Bullet Bass Boat and everything that you said in this video is spot on. One thing that I would like to add is part availability....my boat is a 1995 20DC, and when you can call a company and ask for any part, for something that is almost 30 years old, and their response is, "we'll get that right out to you".... that says it all!!!
Mines a 08 21RDC and I absolutely agree! every single time I’ve ever contacted them I’ve been nothing but happy. All the way down to helping me source parts for my trailer and giving me advice on how to upgrade it to a better design.
I have a 21 sdc / 300r it’s my second bullet, I bought it new from circle d boats in Beaumont Texas, drove from Pennsylvania to get it, I absolutely love them, best looking boat on the water, I’ll never own anything but a bullet
I fish in the Bullet Capital of the world, SE Tennessee, less than 100 miles from the factory. They are all over Chickamauga and Watts Bar. They are indeed premium boats, just too long for my garage. My only concern is the owner is getting well up into years, and hope he has a planned succession plan for the business.
We just moved to Soddy-Daisy (outside of Chattanooga) and I've seen more bullets in the past week than I have in my entire life...and I've probably seen every brand (for the most part anyway)
Bullet is top notch. I'm fortunate enough to live just down the road from the factory and have been there several times getting parts etc. Even with my 1993 xd they treated me the same as when I show up with my 2024 xrs and that's the main reason I went with them for my new boat. You really need to go visit them Andy and you will see they are more than just a boat builder and most people that have dealt with them realize that and it's why people continue to buy bullet, your gettin more than just a boat. Awesome video. If you ever come down for a tour hit me up and I'll let you take out my 2024 xrs for a comparison.
Love it. Andy, next boat to talk about. Charger 203 Elite. It’s a Champion hull, with fuel tank that is midship to better accommodate. heavier 4-stokes. It’s the closest thing we can get to a 2024 brand new Champion.
@@atomatom7355 of course. 210 was a good boat, no doubt. Wide-body, does not have the ride of the 203. Charger hasn’t put the 203 on their website, yet.
@@FishPoint-WithJoeMichels The BassCat 203 Hybrid is awesome. But it doesn’t have the classic look, the wedge transom, at least on the top cap. The Charger 203 has the original Champion vibe.
Great vid guys!!! I have a question. Is it possible, to have a "go fast" boat, and still have a boat that'll have a good hole shot? I love fast, but hole shot is extremely important to me.
I would like to know what your top 5 bass boats are. Can you do a team talk on BassCat? I like my 2017 Sabre FTD Vision for the average fisherman needs.
Andy, I have something for you to review. Why don't more bass boat mfg's provide their boats with Suzuki outboards on them? As I am sure you already know, Mercury is on everything except the Skeeter boats... occasionally you will have a dealer that has a Phoenix or a Caymas with a Yamaha on it but mostly all new boats come with Mercs. I would like to see more Suzuki outboards available other than a repower.
Now your confusing me. What makes the difference between Ikon electronic control board that you were all in love with to the bullet old school turn key operation? Are you cutting hairs and sucking up ? 😂😂😂😂
@@livingmissourisoutdoor6815 fair point! Here’s what it boils down to. Ikon’s fancy electronics do work great. Fast and responsive but they also add in an old school switch panel to operate everything IF the screen goes down.
Re-enforced but can't mount a dual gimble mount, huh! Stick to what's simple, but the price isn't simple built pricing. Not to be the devils advocate, but they can't even keep a web page up to date, and this is absolutely a horrific web design zero info on boat when clicked on.
@TeamMarineService pretty sad they can't keep a website up to look over the boats, and I have been in them. What exactly is so great and fuzzy, wonderful? It's not a fun boat to fish out of the front when someone on back makes a sudden move. Can you say man over board. Built good yes fish ability poor for 2 people. Most boats today are built well. If you take care of them, they will last forever.
Andy...Bullet Boats can't be top 5 built bass boats to consumers. You don't count cause you're not going to buy one. The boat has wood in the hull. What bass boat manufacturer puts wood in the hull other than Bullet? Plus, Bullet uses decking screws to attach the top cap and hull together. They cover the screws with the rub rail. That's an awful design and poor build quality. I would recommend you tour the factory before you say top 5. Pretty boat, though. But not top-notch.
