I'm sameone like her, because I am an Indian kid living in the UK and playing chess here. Bodhana is very famous among English chess players. We all admire her achievements and call her "our chess superstar". Because she is so strong at a young age, many people are afraid to play with her. I once met her in person at a tournament and it was amazing how tiny she was. But over time she can be incredibly focused. I have never met a child at this age who could sit at the chessboard for the entire game and not get bored. She is hard-working, ambitious and would like to become a world champion someday. We are all so proud of her even if she loses sometimes. This is only the beginning of her journey, and she has already achieved more than 90% of the world's chess players will achieve in their entire lives. There is still so much left for our superstar to win.

What chess tournaments in the uk offer such level where you can meet and play with the greats. I live in the UK and am thinking of playing chess at high level myself and thought top level players only play in closed tournaments
@Serious-qk5lg
@Serious-qk5lg 3 дня назад
@@Jiten-pm5lz The tournament I saw her at was the Cambridge Open. This is a relatively new tournament and always takes place in February. Another strong tournament I can recommend is the Hastings Masters, held at the turn of December and January. It's true that in most cases the rating threshold is limited, but sometimes you can find a stronger tournament and have the opportunity to challenge the best.

Aww did she write a little 'உ' at the top of the scoresheet before writing down the name. That is amazing, even though she lives in England and plays for them, her parents didn't forget to teach her Indian roots.

She may be the only chance to having a female 2700+ player in the next generation and maybe the first female world champion ever. When little hands can barely reach the board, a sharp mind already sees everything at a master level. It's the fourth board only this time. In two years she will be at first and then you won't even notice when her open team will also fight to get her to their first board.

She was not ready for this Olympiad. The England chess Federation should have waited before she was ready for such tournaments. She is the weak link of England team. In five matches she has scored just 1.5 points. She has already lost 70 elo points in these five matches.
