Wow... That tip about directing some pressure toward the outside edge on the backspin is great. For some reason the pause is cleaner when i do that. TY!
Emma Short-E a scratch goddess! The tip at 1:25 changed everything for me. Thank you so much for all of the amazing tutorials. They have helped me so much!!
Those tear orbits are cool! I've been practicing about a month now and just learned one clicks, but those tear one clicks look brutal! Great tut. I'll be watching the whole series. Love your combos!
thank you for dat extra slow motion tut..do you think your musical background with other instruments have helped you a great deal with your scratching and teaching????
i remember you saying in a video (or maybe written on your website) that you use your dominent hand for the fader and the other for the record. Im wondering did you try both at one point and decide on that at one point or was that always just more natural?
i can do this slowly but for the life of me i can't do this fast at all. i'm using my arm and not my wrist. i'm also attempting this on a NS7III. would that have an impact on my performance?
Try using your wrist as the pivot point instead. ns7 you should be good - bear in mind that the platter is not spinning underneath the record so you are moving the whole thing. But still possible! Keep on!
I am using a Controller and I have to say I am having a hard time getting this down I am using the Reloop Terminal Mix 4 which you can see Dj Angelo Murder a routine on it right here now unfortunately Serato Dj Intro doesn't have the Option to switch the fader Like the Itch does so I guess its kinda hard to imitate what you are doing considering you are inverse and I am not need some help
It's a vinyl called "Super Seal" you can buy. Most scratch records have this sound on. If you are using serato or DVS you can use digital samples provided here: studioscratches.com/classic-ahhh-and-fresh-samples-download/
I know this is 5 years ago bit no. Angelo is fucking amazing. Qbert is the very best at his craft but Anelo has some of the best tutorials on RU-vid. Just like Short-e. Scratch in till you bleed lol
