Hey Guys welcome back to today's video in today's video we start the teardown process on the 1980 Chevrolet Scottsdale. I also cut out some patch panels from the Pick-n-Pull and the i-pull U-Pull, sandblasting the frame of the truck getting rid of all the loose rust that I can. and the tear down begins stripping down the front half of the truck. stay tuned to the paint series on a 1980 Scottsdale the next video I will be removing the Box off the truck and getting the front half of the truck ready for Bodywork and primer

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too is the videos put out that have results at the end of that are probably the way to go. Even if I'm only able to to one every two weeks at the moment.

Excellent video. My father and I enjoyed watching this video. We like how your grab parts from the yard and fit them. At the end he asked why you didn't show the welding.

Awesome, I've got 2-3 more videos to continue to add to the series, next video I'll continue to remove the box make a box cart, and the video after the next one I'll be starting the body work and welding patches in to get the front half of the truck ready for primer.

Don’t know why you don’t have more subscribers or views. Just keep making good videos. There’s so many people doing it now it’s hard to get recognized

Yeah, that's just it lots of channels on RU-vid nowadays. It takes more time and effort to get noticed now too, plus it's also finding out a niche that works too and hits that algorithm statistics. But the more videos I put out the more my channel will get seen and noticed, plus I'm looking to a full series on each car/truck I revive too. And get them all back on the road once I do a few of those series. I'm sure the channel will hit and take off.

Hey thanks I greatly appreciate that, I wanted to come up with something cool that I could do for the start of each of these paint series projects I had planned for the channel. Yeshh it's got some rust only because of rhe built up mud from being used as a 4x4, so far its cleaned up real good, I've got the front half of the in primer now. Going to have to cut that bad metal out of the box and get it ready to go next

I've got the front half the truck in primer there now ready for paint, I'll be pulling the motor and transmission in top off right away hopefully get the painting that frame real soon saving the most welding for last LOL which would be the Box. A cordless ratchet is definitely on my list of things to buy lol

Yeah, exactly. I've got all the metal work done on the hood fenders and doors. There will be tons of metal work to do on the box. But all the time put in will be worth it to see the truck back on the road again.

Oh nice, I haven't heard of that place. I'll definitely have to check that out to see if they have that one panel I couldn't find for the truck. It's always great to know about more places I can get parts from.

Posting a video on a regular basis surely will help to keep the videos getting suggested. I wouldn't mind having both types of videos on the channel honestly. Also, did I hear that correctly that you quit your job?
@fullyloadedkustoms
@fullyloadedkustoms 3 месяца назад
Yeah exactly, that is what I am definitely working towards it'll be nice here I've been doing a bunch of traveling back and forth to Edmonton and back and forth to Calgary and that's definitely eating up a lot of my time. Hopefully get some more time in the shop and can get everything set up to release a video every Sunday or second Sunday would be a great start. Ohh not yet haha but if I did haha I wouldn't have to travel like 5,000 -8,000 miles a month haha if I can spend that kinda of time in my shop instead putting out weekly videos would get pretty easy lol.

@@fullyloadedkustoms Does cutting and editing the video footage take a lot of time for you? If I recall correctly you said you do that on your phone?
@fullyloadedkustoms
@fullyloadedkustoms 3 месяца назад
@MrReese yeah usually in the case of the last video I had about 2.5 hours of recorded footage to edit down and remove what wasn't necessary speed clips up, Edit the video Start to finish, proof watch the video add music text, and do a proof watch one final time. I can do all that from my phone on an app called InShot works really good now that I've gotten used to it. Usually takes me a day or two to sit down and go through everything for a video that's in about that 30 - 45 min range.

Too bad you live in the rust belt which is anything north of Georgia
@fullyloadedkustoms
@fullyloadedkustoms 3 месяца назад
Usually Alberta isn't too bad it's pretty dry out in this area for Canada the province of Alberta in Saskatchewan have the most amount of classic cars still kicking around because the dryer climate here. But they're was a ton of mud built up on the underside of truck from 4x4 use I'm pretty sure which caused the rust to happen as bad as It did.
