Cars and light trucks are scrapped by crushing them flat in a car crusher. Large vehicles, like buses, are demolished in the same basic way buildings are demolished. They literally tear them apart with a claw that attaches to a back hoe. It's my understanding that it takes about two hours or so to completely tear apart a full size bus and reduce ii to a pile of scrap metal. It doesn't look like a very efficient way to scrap such a vehicle. It seems that they should have a crusher that's big enough to crush it, maybe into a cube.
That bus retired in the early 2000's and it was used as a church bus till that bus broke down and sat at some one else's house till they decided that they don't have a use for it no more.
Mom: hunny, why didn't your bus arrive? Daughter:well..I forgot to tell ya my bus got crushed by this one man..... Mom:well...GET IN THE CAR!!! this might not make sense
