Im 57, a lifelong T F F fan and not so great either. Mental issues. I hope yours arent too severe and you can emerge from this. Getting older is tough. I enjoyed every decade but this one is by far the hardest. Take care mate.
@@AJLangford exactly the same thing happens to me, it seems that for many of us, turning 50 is becoming very very very difficult: health and emotional issues, maybe it’s very common in this stage, but GOOD MUSIC like TFF helps a lot!
"There’ll be no more grinding teeth or razing ghosts - my love. You’ve seen enough." This is a happy, 60s-ish, Beatleseque tune. And it sounds like Roland is in a good place in life, with his new wife, Emily. He's over the trauma of the death of his first wife. I'm very happy for him. His music and lyrics have given me a lot of pleasure. I only really discovered TFF when The Tipping Point came out a couple of years ago. I love Elemental, Raoul, and Tomcats Screaming Outside. I'm glad I didn't find this music until recently; it's like discovering a buried treasure in your backyard. Roland is a great artist, and a great soul as well.
@cheshirecat5571 I first discovered TFF in 1985 when I first heard Everybody Wants To Rule The World. Have you ever heard music from their Album The Hurting? (1983) Good stuff....you should check it out if you haven't heard it
I wish they were inducted into the hall of fame….they absolutely deserve it!! Still making great music…thanks lads. I’ve followed you since 1983….keep it going!!
TFF are obviously the greatest! Enjoyed their music growing up in the '80s, but truly became a fan when I bought the Elemental album and then rediscovered their earlier works. Been a die-hard fan ever since. Can't get enough TFF, and I'm even managing to bring my teenagers around. This song, for me, has a real "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending" to it, and I'm really enjoying this and the other new songs!
I saw Tears for Fears on the SONGS FROM THE BIG CHAIR tour in 1985 in Los Angeles CA and Atlanta GA for the SEEDS OF LOVE tour in 1990 at Six Flags! I saw Curt solo in Sacramento CA in 93 and Roland on the Raoul and the Kings of Spain tour in 96 in San Francisco CA! AWESOME SHOWS FROM AN AWESOME GROUP!
This song is so beautiful❤ wow guys! So lovely, im so proud of u roland❤ im proud of both of u!❤ I hope i will see u in the future❤ u guys will never get old❤ i love yall so much❤ TFF is my life❤
Tears for fears were always an amazing band. It's just a pity they didn't speak for nearly 9 years. But that's life! Great to see them back and making great music again. 🙏
Theres a lot going on here chord modulations and changes....vocal panned in odd ways defying the norms. And then at 3min 36 Im caught out again with the time sig change.! Well done!
"Emily said get out of your head and go make some tea for the two of us I know you’re sad and life is a drag but just go and water the plants These are things that will help your anxiety Emily said"
So glad she's got your number, and won't allow self sabotage binges! Loved the essences of earlier works embedded in her song! Emily is a KEEPER! Lighting the pathway out of the darkness every day! Your best days are yet to come! Immerse yourself into the journey with Emily! And NEVER look back!
Great Song…. Greatest Tears for Fears…. Tears for Fears is one of my favorite bands and yes, they have flirted a lot with the Beatle sound in their own style... However, Curt & Roland did backing vocals on the album The Big Express, this being already an iconic album reminiscent of the Beatle sound. and the great band XTC has been the group that has done the most to preserve the vintage, psychedelic and Classic Beatle sound...
