I'm excited to learn this song (alongside Layla) and other songs you post. I just learned Taylor by Jack Johnson thanks to you. I love when you teach the rhythm and lead/solo parts. I noticed a lot of these songs use Pentatonic scales. Does your course cover how to start improvising using these scales or something similar? I play for my church and, although I do know how to play all 5 Pentatonic shapes and switch between them, I would love to start improvising for songs. Anyway, thanks for all you do. it's easier than most people makes it. If they tell WHAT KEY it's in..so you could narrow down the CHORDS It;s just in A MAJOR/F# minor. Just hammer the F# to A MAJOR...then pull off the D note to the C# min7 chord ( it;s just a SIMPLE C# min7 barr chord) then F# min................it's just a SIMPLE F# min barr chord) Then B min7.. A Maj...E Maj. (it's a SIMPLE B min7 barr chord) Then E Maj...E 4 dyad....F#4 dyad A Maj... Then REPEAT... It's EASY..becuase you could play all of that while SINGING The BRIDGE is C Maj...B dim...Bb dim A min ( chromatic descending) G Maj A Maj D Maj E Maj... then back to main chords or hammer F# into A Major chord. Then C Maj is the b3 chord degree. The B dim ..could be dor #4 or dor b5 it'll make sense to you if you're used to INSERTING N6 chords b2......b3......b5......b6......b7 CHORD DEGREE of a MAJOR scale such as A MAJOR. You could play those chords as Maj, maj7 , dominant , dim or aug The G Maj is n6 after the F# min..or F# Harmonic min b2 the Bb dim is the b2 chord degree as dim or you can use PARALLEL A min as a GUIDE The Bb dim would simply be the b2 chord of A min. It'll make sense to you..when some people say to play the N6 after the MAJOR's or min's TONIC. There's alot of songs with N6 chord after the minor' tonic..or b7 chord degree of the MAJOR scale.

I haven't played this song in more than a year, then watched an old performance I did youtube of with my daughter from years back. I pulled out that Tac nylon string and realized I have almost completely forgotten how to play it. After 30 minutes I recovered most of it but that final phrase at the end of the chorus... Well I found this video to cheat on the recovery and wow!... I have not seen a finer presentation! With your format... I was able to scroll to just the point I needed help... Brilliant!!! This is an outstanding tutorial with a guy that can sing as well! To have the tab below the demo is really helpful. Personally I think it is simpler to use the thumb for the base notes (as suggested). It may not please the classical guitarists but if it good enough for Clapton and Tommy Emmanuel its good enough for me. To fingerpick within a barre chord can be a challenge for beginners or even improvers. Great stuff. Love it.
OK, so I got through the intro & the first verse of Stairway, so it's time to learn something new fingerstyle wise & I absolutely love this song. Tonight was night 2, for a total of 20 minutes, and the 1st bar sound spot on :D Now I gotta get the next 3 bars and off we go :D Absolutely love your style with these as I've said many times. Fingerstyle I have to watch a video, strumming songs I can just listen to them now & figure them out with maybe a little guidance here and there. Thanks for these lessons man!

This is the most easiest tutorial I've ever watched. Easy demonstration at the same time there's a tab seen which the learner can easily understand how to play it.
