This trailer had so much to unpack, i had to watch it MULTIPLE times just to see all the new things and, some moments were a mere dusting of frames long. But the music, omg the music got me pumped
This trailer shows Ganondorf but it’s possible that the figure with the long red hair is Demise. So then possibly the one that looks like Zelda might be Hylia.
Tears of the kingdom logo is a snake head similar to Zonai style ruins with its tail in its mouth, continually devouring itself and being reborn from itself the Ouroboros symbol, This theme fits perfectly with what is shown in the trailer, Nintendo hinted to time travel with zelda last shot, Also i think there is another villain beside Ganondorf wish could be Demise himself.

True! we also saw a ghost-like ship in Ocarina of Time in the Shadow temple. I hope it's something along those lines in ToTK as well. It's way more fun than "just" a regular ship :D
Teba was injured, could that be why he may not be the Rito Champion? The little Rito could be Teba's son, sure looks like a younger Teba? Also the 3 headed dragon was not in BotW. Not sure if there was statues of it in BotW, But the 3 hydra was in the first LoZ game, don't recall it being in other games since.
I think your are right, and we dont't see the goron Yunobo from BotW in any of the trailers either, so maybe something happened to them, or Link has to free them? No, I think your are right, it seems they brought back an old enemy from a previous game :D
I really think that new character with Zelda is the one on the carving and the one that sealed Ganondorf. Also, his arm is exactly the same as Link's (same bracers, color, and even nails). This might confirm time travel too, because how can he be physically with Zelda and Link's spirit arm at the same time? A little theory of my own, Link got corrupted by malice (and we see different enemies with malice corruption too) so is his new spirit arm keeping the malice at bay (maybe just completely healed it, but that would be boring) or will some aspects of corruption augment Link in some way? Maybe some unique powers?
Really good point! And interesting theory with Link's arm being corrupted by malice. This is also supported by previous trailer clips where his arm looks to be harmed all the way up to the shoulder, and the color of his harmed skin being a combination of black/brown and red. So I think it is a plausible theory!
@@goingnintendos Yep! The developers also took a lot of inspiration from Princess Mononoke so I wonder how closely Link's arm may mirror that. We don't have very long to wait for answers now! :)
1:25 That’s not Ganondorf’s theme per say. That’s the theme of Hyrule Castle from A Link to the Past. More specifically, that version is the theme of Hyrule’s royal family introduced in Wind Waker.
@@goingnintendos No worries. I can see why you’d think it’s Ganondorf’s theme, as in BOTW, the theme for Hyrule Castle does contain pieces of Ganon’s theme.
worth the watch. you know what you are talking about. A true Zelda connaisseur. Thanks. Oh have you notice that all the main characters including Gannondorf (forehead) have a tear on them? Check the champions at 3:25 of your clip.
@@goingnintendos Oh, and might I add that the Zonai just might be the Twili? I say this because they share a LOT of similarities with the Twili, like those irregular zigzag patterns and the color green. They also wield otherworldly powers and such, so powerful to where it rivals even the Sheikah's highly advanced and sophisticated technology, but the Zonai's is more avant-garde compared to the Sheikah's. Also, Epona is OFFICIALLY back, and in a canonical capacity. Every Zelda game that Epona has been in has dungeons and side quests that significantly involve her. Plus, Ganondorf is back, and the same logic applies to him as well. His very reappearance has triggered a LOT of events in Hyrule, like that dungeon/temple resurfacing somewhere in Gerudo Desert, and it looks like the Arbiter's Grounds. Good God Almighty, my mind cannot comprehend the sheer unprecedented magnitude of this game/sequel, because even after that story heavy/gameplay heavy prelaunch trailer, Nintendo has still BARELY scratched the surface of what's to come in this game/sequel, that's one of the most mind-blowing parts about it. This game is going to push the Nintendo Switch to it's absolute limits. Video game hardware that truly shines when it's pushed to it's absolute limits.
Oh and also the hand device that was holding back ganondorfs emaciated body looks really similar to the design on Links injured arm? maybe the same thing?
Man there's just so much to dissect from Tears of the Kingdom. This sequel seems like an amalgamation of all the Zelda timelines, coming together full circle. I also want to go off topic a little bit and talk more about the Zonai. Ever since I started learning about this mysterious tribe, they began to give me strong Chozo vibes from Metroid, because they too were/are completely absent in Metroid Prime, but remnants of their extremely advanced avant-garde technology is seen all across the world. That brings me to this extremely far-fetched theory that I'm going to repost (that I've reposted multiple times already on other Zelda theorists RU-vid channel🙂) since it's considerably exhaustive, so here goes. *I honestly don't know if anybody has covered this, but I was wondering if you could somehow make a video out of this, because after learning a little bit about the Zonai, they sound more like a lost " alien " tribe* . *So, here we go. Ok, I had to take a DEEP breath before typing this, because I don't know if you'll ever reply to this or consider this to be a legitimate theory, but I'll post it anyway. Before I do though, I have to say that I'm a HUGE Zelda fan, and it's very dear and near to my heart, and ever since I've been learning more about the Zonai recently, the Zonai are starting to remind me more and more of the Chozo tribe from Metroid {more specifically Metroid Prime}. As a matter of fact, Zelda and Metroid share something interestingly similar with each other, both of their two core tribes are as follows, The Legend of Zelda - Zonai and Sheikah tribe, Metroid - Chozo and Mawkin tribe, and not only that, but both of these two tribes have a truly significant presence AND impact on the main character/protagonist of the entire video game franchise, Samus Aran - Metroid, and Link - The Legend of Zelda. Due to Samus having both Chozo and Mawkin DNA, she's able to utilize and wield the highly advanced technology, agility, and superhuman feats of the Chozo, Plus, her iconic power suit that's permanently fused with her body was designed by the Chozo themselves, and she also has physical combat prowess, reflexes, AND strength just like the Mawkin* . *Link on the other hand utilizes and wields the highly advanced alien {more on the alien technology later} technology of the Zonai, and he also utilizes and wields the ancient yet highly sophisticated and mystical technology of the Sheikah. Oh, and something else, both Samus and Link are able to harness unimaginably powerful abilities with their arms, Samus went through a truly extremely aggressive metamorphosis and transformed into a full blown Human Metroid due to her having Metroid DNA from a Metroid Vaccine in order to overcome the X parasite that had infected her {of which she can now absorb effortlessly}. In the first reveal trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, {which was initially known as " Breath of the Wild 2 "} Link's right arm was shown being fused with some green ethereal energy {presumably Zonai related} and now his arm looks superhuman, his fingernails are now basically claws {JUST LIKE SAMUS'S claws on her fingers when she becomes a Human Metroid}, and he can now manipulate and control time itself AND objects by just a flick of his right hand, and he can also travel straight through solid objects with ease, and who knows what other powerful abilities he can now wield?* *What's my point? Well, there seems to be a lot of dissimilarly similar parallels between the Zelda and Metroid universe. In other words, a ironic oxymoronic paradox, two completely different universes with dissimilarities that contain " mirrored " similarities but aren't supposed to, or simply put, two juxtaposed universes with seemingly cryptic synonymous connections that aren't supposed to exist simultaneously, but yet they are. It's profusely difficult to try to explain, but that's the best way I can sum all of that up* . *Now onto the " alien " technology aspect of Zelda that I mentioned earlier, this will be brief compared to my previous extensive soliloquy about Zelda and Metroid since I don't have sufficient knowledge on this nearly uncharted territory of Zelda lore. Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, apparently in the concept art for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there was plans to include " alien " phenomena in Breath of the Wild but that idea was eventually scrapped. Interestingly enough, this isn't the only time that " alien " phenomena has been alluded to or merely mentioned in The Legend of Zelda franchise, in fact, alien beings had outright APPEARED in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask {I've never played Majora's Mask myself, I've just watched gameplay of it from others}, and Link had to shoot them with a bow and arrow, or else they would abduct the cows and Romani {this is of course obvious if you've played the game, I just included that for good measure👍} and she'd wake up the next morning sitting down in complete oblivion and confusion. Anyhow, I'm probably the ONLY person that's ever thought about this, but when you factor in all of that, would it really be far fetched to consider the possibility that the Zonai tribe could in fact be an alien race? And could the Zonai themselves be somehow related to the Chozo? I say this because in Metroid Prime, the Chozo are nowhere to be found, but you see an abundance of remnants and motifs that are directly related to the Chozo, just like how the Zonai are nowhere to be found in the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild but their existence thereof past tense is clearly present in many areas of Hyrule. Could they truly be related? Who knows? At any rate, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is shaping up to be THE game of the century, I just thought I'd provide some interesting and in depth insight into the ever-so elusive and mysterious Zonai, and the virtually **-improbable-** nah impossible connections between them and the Chozo. If you managed to read THIS far into this analysis that I humbly attempted, then I applaud you for having this much patience😄. God Bless and GodSpeed🙏* .
Really interesting thoughts. I have not considered the alien theory, but you do have a point about their appearance in Majoras Mask (my personal favourite Zelda game btw). I have not played Metroid, so I fall short on knowledge there, but one thing is for sure - the Zonai are a very interesting tribe, and I very positively think that we will get to know much more about them in this game :) Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
@@goingnintendos I’m in love with this game, so yeah, I am definitely enjoying the playthrough. Taking my time progressing the story while I do shrine collecting and side quests. I finished all of the temples to get the Sages, maybe I’ll push forward soon. Have you finished it?
@@tefweebzSo glad to hear! Good idea to take your time and really enjoy the game :D I've only just collected my first dragon's tear, and explored the depths for the first time (episode on the way), so I am not far in. But it is soo good so far 😍
btw I don't think that's Zelda. She looks a bit different to Hylians with her ears a bit bigger. I've seen some theories that there might be some time travel involved and that's what Zelda means by "Link, you have to find me" not in space, but in time. Which makes sense given that Zelda appears to be in an older civilization type of architecture that looks brand new and thriving, and link being at a pre-calamity hyrule castle looking surprised. I think that girl might be a precursor to hylians or maybe just a menthor figure for Zelda, or a Zelda from the past, like a different reencarnation. I haven't finished BOTW although I'm super close, but throughout the game, Link's memories of Zelda is her feeling like she can't do things right, and in this trailer she says "this is something only I can do", which is nice to see some character growth, but I think after meeting this menthor figure she might figure out how to unlock her powers at full potential (if she didn't at the end of botw because I don't know yet). She also has two tears painted on her face, but the other girl has six, could this be a representation of their level of power/knowledge? Or maybe it's just how many people they've killed like guys in prison, idk. Lots of theories. I can't wait to finish botw and play totk
@@guillermocantu8939 I agree with your points here! And very interesting with the time-travel theory, I have also seen this. And when we see Zelda fall, we see this glowing light coming from her right before the scene cuts. This could be the very moment she is transported to another time. I like this theory! And good point about the mentor figure for Zelda, which helps her unlock her powers. Sounds very plausible!
@@goingnintendos yeah and if you look closely when she’s falling, she clenches her left hand as she starts glowing. I’m guessing it’s the tear that might have the power to time travel or dimensional travel which could be possible too. The Zonai seem to be otherworldly, so maaaaaybe it’s a different dimension? Idk, I keep thinking of different theories 😂
