@@Tech21nyci’m putting together a stereo DI guitar rig. It will use a Sansamp GT2, Sansamp Oxford Character Series, two On-Stage DB500 passive direct boxes for dual XLR out, a JHS buffered splitter, and some kind of boost or overdrive pedal to make them go clean or distorted at the same time.
Great video. These units are fantastic for many applications. Although many VSTs such as Amplitude 5 and others sound good, one tends to spend more time tweaking than actually playing. These Tech 21 units feel good, record good, and sound great in context of a mix. Of course assuming one has proper recording skills.
If you use the 1/4 out on the richie kotzen fly rig, the cabsim is off? Even with the Sansamp on? I saw kotzen using the samsamp on amp's input with the sansamp on.
Had one gave it to a friend. A bit noisy needs a noise gate. Sounded better when pushed with a Tube Screamer me thinks. Not quite enough omph . You make it sound great !
We could have helped you with that. For the record, noise is typically caused by an outside source or due to not optimizing the settings for the application and/or compatibility with your other gear. Maybe "borrow" it back and give us another shot? :-)
@@jwjw4546 Yes. You can use average/full coverage headphones (approx 32 Ohms), preferably with a 1/4” to stereo 3.5 adapter plug. It won’t be super loud, but works for silent practicing. Or you can plug directly into a mixer/interface & use headphones with that.
