@@dystopia2386 MIne's more like an off switch, if that's what you mean. Goes from nice warm growl to howling feedback like it's a clutch on a Ducati 999.
My most beloved slap bass sound is Simple Minds Big Sleep (it was played with a Fender P-Bass). My favourite fretless bass sounds are Kate Bush's Breathing bass solo and Talk Talk's Candy. Should be no problem with this device, I suppose.... By the way, I don't like distorted bass sounds.... But it is possible with VT Bass
One of the most succinct and relevant demos i've ever seen.... I plan to use one of these as my pseudo DI into PA boards at open mics along with a Keeley compressor in front. I hope to have tonal flexibility. Any criticism of this idea is very welcome. I was looking to buy a DI and realized that I already have this, so perhaps I don't really need a real DI for open mics.
@@marktroupe5413 I don't really think so, it's been pretty disappointing as a DI with cabinet emulation (despite me having nothing to compare it to), but as an overdrive/distortion box it's very good.
I really want to get me this pedal. tbh it sounds very similar to my Joyo British Sound pedal, and that pedal is a "Marshall" type preamp for guitar, but you could say the British Sound also works wonderfully as an Ampeg-type bass preamp clone. But I still want the original!
You're not far off. There's a guy on FSB who turned his Joyo British into a VT by swapping only 7 components, since the Tech 21 Character pedals (that the Joyos are direct clones of) essentially share the same schematic diagrams
