I think SmartWatch Ticks is the first youtube channel to make a full review for KP2 as well as the first to make such performance/benchmarks video....well done. Hope to see a KP3 or 4 smart watch one day with full set of sensors(spo2,blood pressure, body temperature,barometer... etc) and perhaps with a Qualcomm chipset to be better on energy consumption....a KP Ultimate maybe:))
First I'll need to get the PRO! Don't even have one on order yet so it will be well into next year. Yep, I'll do a side-by-side comparison, including ANTUTU tests and everything.
The next video addresses one aspect of battery testing under severe load. Other test results appear in the first comment under each watch's individual review. I keep adding to them as I test more options.
Yet another great video once again... Question for you, I have a kronos genesis blade that I can't seem to remember the lock pattern I put on it and I having trouble resetting the watch. Can you help me please?
That's a real problem. I had the same issue when I did a demo of screen lock for setting face lock. I made a silly pattern on the video, locked the watch, and promptly forgot about it. Later I tried to get into the watch and couldn't. I wasn't even able to get to Settings to do a factory restore! Sadly, you are totally locked out and will need to download Genesis firmware and learn how to flash that firmware to your watch from a PC, thus wiping out everything and starting all over. Instructions for that are here: www.fullandroidwatch.org Oh, and later I remembered that I set my pattern on the video, so I went to RU-vid and watched my own video, put in that same pattern, and it unlocked! So if you have time, just try and hack your way in. If you magically hit on it, burn it to your brain or change it to something easy, or totally delete it.
I've finished up a stress test / battery test combo using a thermal camera to monitor watch body temperature. Two of the three Android 10 watches actually shut down completely during the test. The stock Android 7 watch I used for comparison came through just fine. Guess octa core CPUs and all that processing effort in a tiny space will need better heat shielding and venting in future models. Video should be up in a couple of days.
I haven't heard if there's interest in doing an upgrade to the LEMFO LEM10 size watch or not. They need more work in the heat dissipation for these octa core processors as you'll see in the next video.
Hi Mister Ticks , first off I love your channel and I subscribed because you are so far the most informative. On another note, I purchased the Fossil Gen5 WearOS for my daughter and I was disappointed from it's app limitations even through Aptoide , I was hoping to install Fongo app it's a free calling app that I use wherever I have WiFi connection, anyhow, I was viewing your late broadcasts and was looking at the Thor6 and the LEM Pro both with Android 10, I saw the Thor6 has octa core and was wondering if there is a big difference , I am basically looking to return the Gen5 and purchase a better smartwatche for my daughter. Bellow are the features I would wish to have in a smartwatch. - all app friendly Google Play Store - most solid screen glass - best battery life - best performance - most compact I really like the slick design of the LEM Pro but I am also bending towards the Thor6 octa core feature. Tuff decision to make and if you got any other better options I don't know about kindly let me know. You have yourself a fantastic holiday season Warm Regards
Sounds like you need to do a bit more exploring as your criteria work against themselves and nothing matches. Best battery life won't be best performance, and neither will be most compact, so I'm pretty sure you'll have to weight your criteria and compromise somewhat to achieve what you want. Thanks for subscribing too!
Ok makes sense, I am attracted by the upcoming LEM14 now, the pre-order price is cheaper then the Lem12pro and its packed with a 1600mah battery and a Gorilla 4 glass mount, I can't find anything on what gorilla glass the Lem12pro is using. I guess it would be best to wait for the LEM14
Good job Mr ticks, if you do a follow up outdoor GPS lock would be nice, and as daft as it may seem actually making a call, can the recipient hear you, can you hear the recipient, only because I do recall one of the square watches being dreadful in this respect
I thumbed your comment as I agree with you. I ALSO want a top camera pointed forward (like on the Genesis) added with at least 8MP resolution and preferably 13MP like on the PRIME 2. Don't want a fancy twirling camera, just a top camera for landscape pictures (while retaining a low to mid resolution front camera for selfies). Full 5ATM waterproofing would be nice, too, but if that delays it a year or two, then save waterproofing to the next generation.
Mr. Ticks, you did some of the tests at landscape mode while the others at portrait mode. It is rendering to different screen resolution which takes different amount of time. Not a good test...
Have the Thor 6. All goes except just cannot get any Google Calendar apps to work. Doesn't appear to have Calendar Storage system app. Anyone else had this issue?
Everybody's having that issue! They're talking about it over at www.fullandroidwatch.org primarily in the PRIME 2 thread. Check out if they have a workaround for it yet over there.
If you mean setting the triple tap zoom, that's in the Accessibility area of Settings. It's blocked out on Android watches, but you can access it by downloading and installing "Settings Search" app. That app is no longer in the Google Play Store, but I've archived a copy of it in our Smartwatch Resource Center here: tinyurl.com/androidwatches
You had floating apps running on some of those Android 10 watches. First you said "I'll talk about them on another video then said no let's talk about them now, then you didn't finish. It look like floating toucher on Prime 2, which the Prime 2 review you answered in comments that yes it doesn't seem to work? What now?
Haha, yea, I wander off from time to time. Sorry about that. True, Floating Toucher doesn't work on any of the Android 10 watches. I'm still looking for a similar replacement, but not totally ready to go into detail on one yet. I'd prefer if the Android 10 smartwatch implementation were tweaked a bit to bring back Floating Toucher. I'll try and follow up on all this after the holidays. Please remind me in January if I forget. Thanks.
I'm looking for a Smartwatch with GPS, long lasting battery and it should be able to play music via Bluetooth headset (without phone) spotify for example... Mainly for outdoor sports. Under 150 Euro if it's possible. Which one would you recommend?
The MAX or Prime 2 have the largest battery. Watch the prices as they often drop around this time of the year: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MkT4Ykqopag.html
Wow thx for size that helped and it is easy to make one I hope it should or maybe I’ll buy some other I want it cuz the watch is very thick and the bands with it are very thin so the bullets bands must do the job well enough I’ll let u know that I’ll buy the kospet prime 2 in middle of February inshah allah thx again
I’m having problems with raise to wake on Thor 6 and battery life I contacted them and all they do is give me the run around can you please help worst part is that I’m in Los Angeles you shouldn’t support zeblaze
Our tech support team doesn't support Zeblaze so I don't have a referral for you for help. On all of these Android watches the raise to wake time is too short, so that's not just a Thor 6 issue. Battery life, likewise, is limited on all of them, unless you get a huge watch like the PRIME 2 or LEM T or LEMX. So that's a common issue as well. Guess if I don't support Zeblaze over these issues, I would need to stop reviewing Android watches all together. Sorry, but I prefer to enjoy showing what these watches can do, despite their shortcomings in a few areas. Thanks for pointing them out for us.
Would you please explain how we can change watch face by using our own photos? I have Lemfo lem12 pro but i can not change watch face by my own photo. Thank you very much.
You gotta be kidding. I have so much more to do with that watch. I'm just starting. Besides, I hold onto all my watches for comparison videos, firmware updates, and just because I love them like if they were children!
Don't know if that's a 'real' watch yet or not. Can't seem to find out much on it yet, other than the leaked specs. IF it comes out, I'll definitely review it.
