With the Advanced, however, the mission flight works with the activated IR thermal imaging camera for fawn rescue, which is currently not the case with the/our M3T. Since only mission flight with wide-angle camera. DJI is aware of this.
We didn't come across this quirk in our testing, so thanks for pointing it out! It does seem like an oversight by DJI, and hopefully they will correct it with a firmware update.
Great overview. Would you say the video quality of the M3E is superior to the Phantom 4 Pro? Want to purchase one of these for Real Estate work as well as construction site progress updates.
Thanks for the question! The answer depends on a slew of factors. There are two versions of the Mavic 3 Enterprise, one built for photogrammetry and one built for thermal applications. The thermal model is the version we had our hands on to compare in this video, but the other version has a larger sensor than both the Mavic 3 Thermal and the Phantom 4 Pro. If you were to compare that model of the Mavic 3 Enterprise to the Phantom 4 Pro, it would likely have better performance in darker situations and may produce more detail because of the larger pixel size. That being said, in most broad daylight side by side comparisons, it would likely come down to personal preference. To some, the Mavic 3 Enterprise has a more detailed 4K output, while others may say that the Phantom 4 Pro does a better job of reproducing natural colors while still maintaining a decent detail level. One thing that really separates the new Mavic 3 Enterprise series in this comparison, though, is the zoom. The Phantom 4 Pro does not have a telephoto lens, so if variety of fields of view is a major consideration, the Mavic 3 Enterprise is the clear winner. It doesn't hurt that it also has a superior flight time and is likely to have software support from DJI for far longer into the future at this point. Hope that helps.
@@RMUSUAV Thank you very much for the information and your insights. It definitely sounds like the M3E will be a significant step up in image quality from the P4P, and offer much greater flight and operational capabilities as well.

Enterprise drones like the Mavic 3 Thermal have a built in thermal payload. It can't be removed or replaced on this model. The only way to equip the Mini 3 Pro with a thermal payload would be by way of a third-party attachment, but it would not be able to send a stream through the remote.
