So glad to see you back, Rob! Your videos really inspired me as a newbie a couple years back and ignited that same passion which you spoke of. Your episodes on iPad-to-RaspberryPi integration was a game changer for me and was the foundation for everything I’ve learned and done since. Although I’m still learning, I now teach Linux and cloud computing concepts to my teammates where I work, and as a volunteer instructor at a non-profit women’s academy.. Ignore all the haters and please know your prior work influenced many lives for the better. Warmest regards and Welcome Back! 🙋🏻♀️
That's a great story to hear. I'm attempting Linux as my daily driver again at the moment so I'll be sharing that journey on the channel along with more Pi projects.
@@tech_craft I just discovered your channel and definitely loving the content you produce. It would be great more content about if you are still using pi with ipad as well as projects would be great. You should consider patreon.
I have only just noticed you are back, and your content is perfectly suited to my interests and tech requirements. Keep up the iPad content, as someone who works using ‘iPad only’, it’s invaluable. Thank you
Glad to see you back and happy that life is treating you well! I only just realised you were back the other day when you started popping up in my recommendations again! Very much looking forward to your videos!
I second the motion. I was wondering what had happened to your channel. I’m glad you’re back and I’m ready for all the great tech content that you provide. Thx Rob
Great to see you back. I really enjoyed the iOS shortcuts automation tutorials you have done. There are very few of them on the internet at the moment. This channel is really helpful. Please keep on doing what you're doing 👍🏽
So good to see you back! Honestly was worried with the timing of your last video and the state of world at the time. I am looking forward to your new content and wishing you the best.
Lovely to see you back. Absolutely agree with your ethos - I personally would love to see fewer videos with quality content rather than lots of poor reviews that add nothing! (No need to respond to this message - concentrate on your content and hope you feel the support!)
Welcome back, I loved your previous videos and every so often noticed your channel in my subscribed list and hoped you were ok. Glad to hear you are and looking forward to more videos.
Great to see you back, Rob! As a fairly new dev myself, and someone very intrigued by the capabilities of the iPad and the Raspberry Pi, I have really enjoyed watching your vids and learning a lot about it all!
So glad! you have awesome content! Interested in the Framework laptop for sure. loved the series on the iPad/Raspberry Pi collab and between you and Jeff Geerling, spent countless hours on these Pi projects.
It’s really great to see you back. It seems like you must have left just around the time I found your channel, because the iPad / Raspberrypi videos you produced were so useful for me, and then everything just disappeared. Anyway, looking forward to what you have in store. Thanks for coming back!
Glad to see you back and healthy. More tutorials would be perfect. iPad tips would be nice too. I don’t mind product reviews because I respect your independence and experience. Look after yourself. Best regards Martin
So glad you’re back! I’ve been visiting your channel every so often to see if there are new videos, even though I have the notifications set up, I thought Google might skip it. Welcome back Rob! Thank you! 🙏🏼
It's fantastic to see you're back man. I especially love the new direction you're going to go. I loved many of your tutorials you've made in the past, particularly with the raspberry pi, and I look forward to more in the future :).
G’day Rob, so happy to see new content. I joined because of the whole Mouse on iPad thing and have missed you since the support I iOS. I stopped travelling with my MacBook because of your videos and love working from my iPad back to my MacBook. I’ve become a big user of Screens but would love more content about Remote Desktop from iPad to MacBook in the future. Happy to see you’re back and looking forward to the passion. Also a cyclist so anything you want to throw in there would be appreciated too. I’m a hammerhead user so any side loading of apps on there could also be helpful. Good luck and all the best.
Great to have you back! Time out is always a worthwhile exercise to help understand your personal priorities and ambitions. I know you'll make the channel a success with your newfound vigour.
Welcome Back, dude!!! You have no idea how much I miss the channel and how much I learned from the iPad + Raspberry Pi + Shortcut series... Looking forward to your new "craft"!
I feel you on this; seems like every tech channel that I used to love before is doing some form of paid advertising, and I get that they have to make money, but it really grinds my gears to the point that I’ve stop watching many of them,
Great to see you back Rob. I was just getting into your videos just before your break. The tutorials were helpful and even when it wasn’t something I was planning on implementing, I still found the content interesting. Excited about the craft/tutorial approach. I think we need more of this in the community and I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes next.
Fantastic news! I got in to your channel a few months ago as I’m getting in to coding and your videos on coding with iPad really interested me. I’m the wrong side of 50 and on a steep learning curve but your channel really did resonate with me and I’m already looking forward to seeing your new content. Welcome back mate.
Great to see you back! Personally and I think the majority of people understand you were going through some issues. Glad you over come them. I wanted to request if you can do another Hoobs setup video, as the software has changed since the first one and it’s bit harder to for me to get up and running
Welcome back!!! My favorite channel, you were the first channel I clicked the notification bell for. Always wanted to know when you posted because the videos were great.
Yes!!! Welcome back! Your videos were what eased me into wanting to program on iPad. I’m glad you’re back to do this all, can’t wait to see what you’ve got coming!
Truly wonderful to see you back here Rob, It really made my day! As a fellow engineer, I absolutely cannot wait to be further inspired by your work, what things you’re passionate about, and the helpful ways in which you teach and inspire others. Most of all, I’m so glad to see you made it through the rough ride and have come back out on top. Keep safe!
Welcome back mr. Rob. My raspberry Pi was waiting for your return to make further progress. :) Got myself an iPadPro and can’t wait to start experimenting again. Keep on the good work!
Yes! So great to see you back on, and awesome that you got deep and shared your experiences that I’m pretty sure other RU-vidrs, including me, can relate to. I’ve recorded nine videos this year, and wow you can only anticipate so much in terms of workload and glitches and unforeseen time sucks and so on. Yep, I’m sure that viewers who accuse you of not being biased can be potentially detrimental to one’s desire to continue their channel, but I think you just ultimately have to push on and do the best you can, despite the naysayers who will always be there. At the end of the day, it’s your channel and as long as you believe in a product, or not (especially if it’s bad), then doing you seems to be the most authentic. I’m really glad you’re back, and look forward to seeing more of your content. All the best for this 2022, and stay safe.
So happy you are back Rob, Thanks for your explanations but I feel it really wasn't needed, we all have our lives, our problems etc I will catch up on what I have missed since your return. so again welcome back.
So glad you're back, dude! I'd checked in a few times over the year to see if I'd missed anything and was worried something terrible had happened. Glad you're on the up and up and looking forward to some new videos.
So, happy you're back. And I'm very happy to hear your thoughts about to have or not have a RU-vid channel. I'm thinking of starting my own channel (completely non-tech related ha ha ha) and your words have given me something to think about. But, back to your channel, I love my iPad and hope some day to say goodbye to my laptop and use my iPad full time someday - so I'm looking forward to more videos on that if you're still doing that. Thank you again and looking forward to seeing you here. :)
Having a channel is a great creative outlet, but it's definitely a double-edged sword. I think if you can stay true to the content you're passionate about you'll have no problems.
Good to have you back dude. I really appreciate your honest comments around the reasons for leaving the channel for a while (OMG, you killed the channel, you b4stard!) as well as commercialism/isation and the potential fallout from that for your channel and how it makes you feel personally. It’s good to strike a balance between doing what really makes you tick and fulfilling the commercial aspect (if any). I think yours is a good approach to take. I missed both your content and your approach as I think you have a pretty unique take. I just watched your vid on the widget creation with Scriptable - something I’m going to try for myself. Keep up the good work. 👍
Wow, what a coincidence. Just randomly looked back at your channel (stopped doing that like year after last video was added) and I see it´s back online. It must have been some kind of intuition. Really liked your "craft" videos. But not gonna lie, also your reviews. Because it´s different when some tool is reviewed by somebody who uses it in his/her work and projects. And review made by "tech youtuber" who uses always same testing script over and over again. It´s completely different insight.
I am so glad you’re back. I love your working on the ipad videos, so many things changes since that, I hope to see more content like this in the future. Keep up the good work👍.
Just came across your channel and might I add extremely informative! I especially enjoy your series on ‘Apple Shortcuts’ which is how I ended up here! I understand since then a few updates have came to IOS - Would it be possible to another series in the near future on both the updated Shortcuts as well as Automations ?? That would be awesome!
Hello Rob, Life/family,friends are always more important then anything else, I think. Doesn't mean to live life at the expense of others. 😉 I'm happy you're fine and healthy, because your videos were helpful. Never unsubscribed, because the hope was always there ,you'll return. 😃
Hey Rob welcome back! Don't feel like you owe anyone anything, but it's nice to hear your thoughts and the fact that everything is going better! Congrats on the new job (and dog!). I've thought about your channel a few times over this hiatus period, and very happy to see you're back!
