One of my best decks I owned. I was able to record with a +12db level on a BASF chrome extra II Tape. None of my decks could realize such a high level. DBX is extremly helpful.
I was thinking it is in the encode circuit.I saw two pods marked dbx.I would love to get it working but it is very expensive to get repaired. One guys asked $960 for a restore.
I have the 905.When recording in dbx the right channel is almost dead and the left is faint with static.I can play back old dbx tapes made 20 years ago and they play fine.Leaves me to believe it is in the encode side.Dolby B and C both work find.
