I know it's too late now but i will say it :-) 0:01 The spirit level in not precisely balanced the right side as we look has to be a little lowered down : What an awesome piece of art this Technics is :-)

I have a friend who has a pair that’s never left his house. It literally looks brand spanking new, not even 1 blemish on it. I’ve been trying to convince him to sell it to me for the last 15 years.... he still says no! Lol

THE most critical test/check on this table occurred at about 0:25 through 0:50 That was a check/test of the tonearm bearings. The fact that the arm moved freely and easily just by turning the antiskate dial means the bearings are in excellent condition. If the bearings are shot, the table is worthless and the entire tonearm assembly has to be replaced.

Yeah, mine does the same thing dude, only my "pair" is original from 1979, the real real deal, oh and the other thing we have in common is nobody cares.

i have a pair for sale too

with all technics, you replace the tone-armwire and puls it through the arm, and take two nice cinch connector, and the anti-skate on a technics is for fun, using a sprin......you realy have to measure that. but just pack the table in again and keep it ten years. looking at the boys, dropping their shitty old mk2, never serviced and think that's it's worth a lot, with a couples of million sold....but remove those tonearmarm wiries and , all that bs, without replacing the arm and platter....just buy a good torck screw driver, and do you really think that the 1200mk2 would've last that long if it was breakable. offcoure the feet suck, and the tonearm sucks, trafo, sucks.......far from hifi, but it looks great(yours)
