Mine came with an ADC PSX-30 cart which Ive found was a higher end cart, sounds lovely on the BD-22! Makes a good lifelong turntable with a premium P-mount cart.
Much appreciated and great to hear the honest opinion that it’s a cheap and nasty and time consuming to fix. Still a helpful insight into solving some of it’s issues.
wow, great video! Thanks for the info shared! One question in case you have something in mind to share also. I own the same turntable, and after the it plays for, let's say, one side of a typical LP, it then (randomly) starts and vary the speed of the turns (mostly drops speed rate). Any thoughts on that? [Haven't verified yet, but i think that if i put it on que and then play again it regains it's speed (need to test more to be certain?)]
I don't care what people say, to me? Outstanding job! I have a Technics Direct Drive Turntable. SL-DD33. Work great but at the end of a record playing, the arm does not return. I have to return it by hand.
I had the exact same turntable with the belt turned to glue. I used a metal dishpan scrubber. And, when removing any rubber/tape glue, I put oil on it when scrubbing. You know how oil keeps tape from sticking to things? It is the same thing with whatever you just scrubbed off. And also works great for removing price tags, etc. I just use olive oil since it's sitting right there in my kitchen. It scrubbed off in a couple of minutes and then I cleaned the oil off with dish soap.
it gets me krazy the fact you have a rezervoir cover probably from a motorcylce next to your LPs and the turntable...is like looking my own lab...hahahahaa

Hi there, I have this exact model and I'm having the same issue of the needle lifting on the last track or so. How did you actually fix this issue. I saw where the problem was but I really wanna try what I can to fix this myself before just buying a new piece. Also when I try to adjust the pitch wheel it goes up and down for a while before steadying. Any tips on that?
For the pitch wheel, the control is probably just dirty. Get some control cleaner like Nutrol or Deoxit spray and spray the pot from the inside. For the auto-return, if it is the same problem as mine, the plastic part that sets the return position broke off. I think I glued a screwhead in there to fix it. I thought the video showed how I fixed it.
@@mechtrician1 it does show the shaved screw glued in the place! I have the exact same model almost ready to be used. Just need to get a new belt for it.
How much money would you think that it would take to get it fixed as you did? Im reconsidering to send the one I have from my grandpa, a different model, SL-B210, but I don't want to put that much money on it, kinda the same conditions yours was. Best regards, great video.
