Thank you for making this video, it is SUCH a nice frame of reference when returning to grid layouts/data management, something that I do JUST infrequently enough that I have to re-remember how to do it every time.

It's crazy that I was just trying to wrap my head around converting 2d arrays to 1d arrays for Unity serialization in a personal project, and you upload this! Thanks again. :)

Hey! That looks really cool! Do you think you can make a building system like in sims? That would be wonderful!

Not on plans, but who knows. The thing is, blueprint is at its worst when it comes to CPU intensive games like sims & city builders and what not. But that grid algorithm would be a start to create a grid and know which cell is occupied by a building, or part of a building

Hey une petite question de noob de l'unreal. Il n'y a pas un moyen de bouger l'actor a la main in game? ou il faut absolument créer des contrôles? parce que je voulais juste voir ta grille en action moi hehe.. (Merci pour ton travail c'est une mine d'or ta chaine j'ai pris ton patreon instant, c'est un plaisir d'explorer tes bluprints et essayer de décortiquer ce qu'il s'y passe ahah peace)

Bonjour! Merci pour le soutien sur Patreon :) Je crois que F8 est ce que tu cherches? Tu peux 'unpossess' ton pawn et retrouver les contrôles éditeur et séléctionner un actor et le bouger à la main alors que ton jeu est lancé :) Très utile.

No reason you can't expand this to a 4d or n dimensional grid if you wanted to add a time dimension or some property or something.
