Not to be nit-picky, but you can order 10 of these boards for 2 bucks, plus 8 in shipping from easyeda/jlcpcb. I have started ordering boards for many projects because once you have a prototype working, 10 bucks for 10 boards is pretty dang cheap to have it look professional and be easy to build :D *not sponsered by said companies, I just really love them*
Although it's not exactly from scratch, all the info about what the components are there for, helps for either making a custom PCB for an Arduino, or our own similar project.
I guess I didn’t expect you would be engraving the actual pcb and understood that it was adding components to an existing bare board. Everyone’s a critic. It would be nice if there was an easy source to buy board specific components without buying $100 in bulk product but either way works it all comes down to end user dedication to smd projects.
thank you for this video, i recently bought the same pcb, but have no reflow oven, now i will search for the parts. nice you mention the parts in the video.
You can also purchase a smd 898D 700w soldering station for $49.99 (eBay) or convert a $29.99 toaster oven with a $25.90 pid controller that will work well. I have the soldering station with hot air gun and I will say it works remarkably well. Also if you want a professional reflow oven aliexpress has them for $175 if you don’t want the headache of building one and are serious about toying with electronics and not just occasional usage.
