Yes another great review guys! I WAS looking to potentially purchase this racquet tomorrow 🧐. Ha ha poor Areg hope his tournament is going well.

Areg was so happy!. Hopefully he did good in his tournament. It does kinda make sense why Al didn't really like the racket. The head size is very different from his main racket. He has his own specifications just like anyone else and i respect that. Great video, never knew much about Medvedev's racket and you guys perfected that.

Thanks a lot! You're absolutely right, this isn't a racket for Al whatsoever. Makes sense why he didn't really enjoy the playtest.

Nice review! Always interesting to see how different players react to a racket. I like the 18x19 pattern and the foam filling does a really good job of keeping the racket soft on the arm despite the high stiffness rating
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 года назад
Yeah, I (Grisha) definitely agree. The pattern feels different, I do like it to be honest. The racket does feel pretty soft for its stiffness rating, that's for sure

First time seeing a video on this channel, nice review. Not Daniil's racquet though, have you tried his (305 dynacore) to compare? Imo all the tfight 305's I have tried improve a lot by adding 5-10g to the handle. Also what string and tension did you use? Even Daniil strings rather low at 22/21kg, could explain the lack of power some of you felt.
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 2 года назад
We know we know! It's just for people to understand what racket we're talking about. I (Grisha) have been considering to get it at some point and I only tried it with added lead. Absolutely works better with weight on it.

Which position will you add weight to this racquet and around how much weight ? Awesome video btw. 👌
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 года назад
If I (Grisha) had to split 10 grams of lead throughout this racket, I would put 3 to the head and 7 to the grip.

I have this racket. 7-10 to the handle. 2 on the head. Perfect. Leather grip in the handle. Or copper and silicone. Then a gram each at 3 and 9

I find it interesting that you didn’t find this racket to be stable. With its 333 swing weight and 15.8 twist weight, it is one of most stable rackets around. It doesn’t have the same plow as some heavier rackets, that is true, but in its weight class, you won’t find a more stable racket.
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 2 года назад
Well, might be so on paper but playing with it I wouldn't say it's the most stable racket out there 😕

i played with xtc 305 (previous model) for six months and improved my aggressive game.But i had arm issues (the previous model was softer that the new one!) and now changed to blade v7 16x19 that help me a lot in my arm (no pain) but my game now sucks!I lost my 1st serve and my forehands have no power.So do you have any suggestion for my xtc (thinner (reduce SW)-softer strings ) to be more arm friendly ?Total weigh of xtc is 333 gram (i put a heavier main grip to balance the raquet).Nice video !
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 года назад
I (Grisha) see what you mean, sucks when a racket you like gives you arm issues. You're right, trying a softer string or stringing it a few pounds lighter can make a difference. I had the same issue with my Gravity Pro. My shoulder was hurting after 15 or so minutes of playing with it. Was about to start trying a different racket but decided to try it with a dapner. The problem completely went away and the feeling became much better for my taste. If you haven't tried playing with a vibration dapner, give it a try! Also 333 grams unstrung??
@zxbillfo

@@gladiatorstribe Grisha its 330 grams strung with vibration dampener and an overgrip!Unstrung its 305 like the raquet you tried (RS new model , XTC old model)

@@gladiatorstribe What do you string your GP with? I’m planning to buy a GT but unsure what string to use. I’ve had success with Head Lynx Tour on Extreme Tour but I don’t know if GT would be underpowered. Alu Power is certainly powerful but it feels too rough and not plushy.

I use the Luxilon Adrenaline 1.30. Not as powerful as Alu but definitely plushy 😉

@@gladiatorstribe Forgot to ask what tension do you string it with? Also considering that you definitely generate more power on your own than I do, should I string at lower tension for more free power?
@gladiatorstribe
@gladiatorstribe 3 года назад
I actually string mine pretty tight. Depending on the conditions, I might go as high as 26.5/25.5kg (58.4/56.2lb). I do recommend you string it way lower and if you feel like it's too soft, tighten it up a a kg (2lb) or so. If you don't know where to start, try stringing it at 23kg (50.7lb).
