Crazy that my little brother raced against this man at the University Of Dayton stadium in my home town Dayton Ohio in 2002 & said that he ran a 19 in the 200 no doubt in my mind that he would've been a gold medal winner in the Olympics 💪💯

@@manny4935 Bolt didn’t run hurdles. Ginn was one of the biggest track prospects in his day. It was actually the Ohio State track and field coach that first noticed Ginn. He absolutely could have won gold under the right circumstances.

Still remember using Gin and Troy Smith on Ohio State NCAA Football game. Dude was a burner for sure, I wouldn’t doubt him getting a medal.

Ted never raced Usain. That was a lie. They both ran Penn Relays 4x1 in 2004 but did not race each other. Also, Ginn ran a 21.5 200 in HS. Bolt broke 20 in the 200 when he was 15 or 16. No competition.

I won state as a Jr in 2002 in the 200m in div II..I raced ginn the in 2003. HE BEAT me really. He's legit. He ran a 21.18 in the 200m at state and got 2nd place same year. I saw him split a 19.99 in the 4×200! If he focused on track instead of football.. he would've been a gold 🏅 medalist guarantee

Y’all saying he’s lying are crazy! He’s speaking facts. He was one of the fastest kids in the country. Bolt wasn’t bolt then. If Ted Ginn took track serious and trained in faster times, who knows?

No you’re very wrong. His fastest time his senior year for 200 was 21.16 and Usain Bolt would have been around 15-16 at the time meaning that he was already 20.13... literally a full second faster than Ginn. So I’m not trying to take away Ginns greatness because he was amazing at track, but Bolt always has, and will beat him.

Dude hes not blowing smoke. OSU had to pull his parents arm to get him off the track path into football. When he was a college freshman it was widely known he was a track phenom from 2 super athlete parents. Watch his osu kick return compilations its insanity. Football has the $ so he made the right move.

4x100 is a team event...which year did this happen? which year...Bolt became Bolt on the pro level after he stopped partying in 2007...Won all major events(Olympics and World Champs) was unbeatable. Try to beat Tyson Gay or Gaitlin....every year an NFL player talks this bullshit...their personal bests suck vs Usain's junior individual numbers when he was in high school..

phillyrick Ginn has pretty much ALWAYS been beat by Bolt. Usain was cracking records left and right by 15 and during the same years Ginn wasn’t keeping up with the numbers.

@phillyrick Up there with him at what period and which event? 400m Bolt ran it as a teen abandoned it before turning pro and subsequently focused on 100m and 200m. Ginn talking about a race over a longer distance in a relay which isnt about individual as much as team work. Ginn needs compare himself with dudes in the US, Gaye, Gaitlin and Greene. NFL players always on the bullshit...they are quick not fast

TG jr is super fast no doubt, but to beat Bolt? 9:58 in 100 metres, so break that down, Bolt would probably run a 4-4.1 in a 40 yard dash. Dam. there's just no way anyone could beat him.

Is Gunn claiming he was the fastest man on Earth? He thinks he could have beaten Bolt in the 100 or 200 m? Does Ginn hold the Big Ten record for any race? NO! Could he outrun Joey Galloway? NO! Ginn was fast but he was no Olympic champion. In fact, he could not have made the Olympic team. How was he going to be Usain Bolt when he could not been the Big Ten champion in the 100, 200, or 110 hurdles? If Ginn was so fast, why did he not break all the records set by Chris Nelloms at Dayton Dunbar, who actually did tryout for the Olympic team and did not make it?

I remember Chris . I also heard he spent some time in prison very funny very fast individual at Ohio state my father used to take me to watch and run at the track meets track meets and I still think it would be a hell of a race between him and Mr. Gin not everybody was chasing track he was chasing track he was chasing success on the football field at Ohio state which is bigger than Ohio state track

It was a relay race, if I remember correctly. They never raced directly. Ginn’s relay team beat Usain’s relay team. Also, Ginn didn’t ever end up running track at Ohio State, the Football team wouldn’t let him do both, so that’s why he never won any Big Ten track awards. And also, if I am not mistaken, he said in the video that Ginn’s hurdle times in high school were Olympic qualifying and I believe I even read that in the newspapers at the time it happened. I’m not trying to be argumentative, just answering your questions. He never said that he was faster than Usain Bolt. Just that they had competed and sometimes he won.
