Apple's streaming service, Apple TV+ is just over a year old and it's been met with a somewhat tepid reception. The initial series options were a mixed bag of beautiful-looking but sometimes disappointing stories with a few notable exceptions in standouts like The Morning Show. I recently started watching a new series that's convinced me to give Apple's streaming service another chance.

I really like the idea of streaming services having an identity. I wonder how best to describe Netflix's identity, though

Netflix is definitely kind of eclectic, maybe because they started out just distributing content and not making their own. It’s interesting to see how they’ve evolved and what kind of content meets the Netflix standard now vs a few years ago.

Did you watch Mythic Quest? You didn't talk about it but you showed clips. Personally, I really loved it. It started off just meh, then got really good, but their Quarantine Special is perfection. It really takes the Zoom episode concept and does super interesting things with it. It's probs my fav single episode of a tv show this year.

I liked it a lot, but it didn’t stand out to me as much as Ted Lasso. But I think part of that is because I wanted more and Apple seems to make you wait for ages to get a second season. I’ll definitely check out their quarantine special, though. That sounds great!

@@trashwire oh yeah, it's not on that Ted Lasso level. And you're right, all their shows seem short AND season 2 takes forever!
