Third Ted Lasso video in a row are we surprised... obviously this is different than my last humour vid, this is an attempt to showcase the heart of the show, which as Jason so wonderfully put in his Emmys speech, is all about family, mentors and teammates. I hope I was able to do the show justice with this video.. I probably didn’t lol I just love it so much so anything I make for it will inevitably come up short for me.
Also I decided to make this with hardly any effects or overlays.. I put in all the clips and thought it looked better without, just something about the tempo of the song and how this beautiful show is shot, it felt like a bunch of effects wouldn’t fit the tone of the video. So ya I dunno if this is at all good lmao, I haven’t edited this simplistically in a while, sorry if it’s boring! I just really wanted the beauty of the story and characters to be the focus.
I’m so sad season 2 is over.. I can’t believe I have to wait like 9 months til it comes back. I’m gonna need to start a new show to take my mind off of this one cause it’s literally all I’ve been watching/thinking about for months lol. I enjoyed season 2 as a whole, but I gotta be honest it wasn’t as good as season 1 for me, and there were a few issues I had with it, namely Rebecca’s storyline. She’s my favourite character so it annoyed me that she was kinda just reduced to a plot about her love life this season. She had a couple of stand out episodes don’t get me wrong, but other than that I was kinda underwhelmed.. and then infuriated lol.. like how is it no one in her life thinks a relationship with a 21 year old player on her team is at all an issue...I.. have questions. I’m sure I’ll get into it later.. hopefully I get around to vidding Tedbecca again soon, then I’ll write a novel about how I feel things went down with that haha. There is absolutely no evidence of Sam/Rebecca in this video for obvious reasons.. I hated it, I pretended I did not see it.. LOL... if it's not actually over for good next season I will barf. But anyway besides that, I know we all hate Nate right now but honestly I can’t even be that mad about it, I understand this was part of his character all along, literally from his first scene, and this was all expertly built up throughout the show.. he’s got a long way to go to be redeemed but I’m sure the show can do it. Come onnn Nate we’re rooting for you. I’m a little iffy on how Roykeeley left off, but even if they put them through hardships next season I’m not that worried, I know they’ll come out the other side as endgame! Also please god can Dr. Sharon come back, how can Ted just magically be ok now lol.. and Rebecca has to get some much needed therapy for the love of god. @ Ted Lasso writers if you see this I know you’re writing season 3 right now please listen to me.. thank you haha.
