Absolutely brilliant what I would give to be back in those days rockin and boppin with a quiff! I do a more Elvis presley type of quiff but this one's still real good! I hope somehow rockabilly gets revived and back into fashion agian, even if it doesnt the greats left behind their great music so we arn't really left without anything to bop to! Long live the 1950's!
@Britishguy18 lets all come together and go back in tim to the 50s!!!!!!!! :D i say try and get it back because it looks way better than how ppl act, dress, and do their hair these days.
The 101st Airborne 506th Inf. Regiment wore mohawks during operation overlord 6, June 1944. There were many styles in the 40's ,50's & 60's as there are today. when the vets returned home they were restless which is why biker gangs started, leather jackets w/ painting on the back came from the pilots who's squadron insignia was applied. u dig. J.Russo age31 Buffalo New Yawk.
well for the higher pomp i use murrays or another thicker wax like AGS 90wt. for the more 50s look i use royal crown.i really want to use Black and white. johnny cash and elvis used it and i like the more retro 50s look more than the modern pomp. hope i helped if you have further questions or need me to further elaborate something just ask. i just sounded so professional haha.
@nedonfunnies I hear you man! With you 100% this time period sucks with the music and fashion, never gonna change I am! I am trieing to form a Rockabilly band haha, got to keep the 50's alive ya know?
@Way2Spirited it's a hair rat or just a rat. Girls use it too for bumper-bangs. Gives the illusion of more/thicker hair being where you need it, otherwise these styles would be all wispy and see-through.
Hey Aaron! I just bought a pot of BryleCreem to try and do my hair but its not long enough at the moment.ill post a vid with the hair when it works though!
@nedonfunnies Yep I know, it depends on where your from, its usually called the "Teddy boy Quiff" or the "turtle trunk' I call it the teddy boy quiff since most teddy boy's had this kind of quiff or something similier! :)
i wish they whould bring back the teddy boy look because today peoples hair look boring it is all the same shit everyone has got the same hair styes back then people had diffrent hair styes 60s rule and 50s
You brits call them QUIFFs ...we yanks call them POMPADOURs , before I lost my hair I wore my hair in a puffed up rock-a-billy Elvis style, all the old timers used to comment on my "Pompadour" and Ducktail , I had never heard the word "Pompadour" , so I looked it up.
@alexmonte21 see, i dont care what other ppl do or say. i dont care that not a lot of ppl do this.... there are ppl that do their hair like this btw, i make my hair like this, and just dont give a crap about what ppl think. :D my girlfriend told me i was meant to be in the 50s XD i guess shes right
