TEDDY RUXPIN IS BACK!! Review of One of the Hottest Toys for 2017

OK! I am 60 and I got the very first Teddy Ruxpins for my baby brother and I when he first came out. As a matter of fact, My Teddy (I still have all his tapes, books and clothes.) and I watched this review! All I can say is WELCOME BACK OLD FRIEND! This is the fourth time out of the gate for you and I hope you have a good long run.

OMG! I saw him at Target and it brings me back memories watching the movie on VHS. Now I wasn't born when it came out but as a kid I would watch it and I fell in love!

My 3 year old son asked for a “robot bear” from Santa. I can’t wait to give it to him on Christmas. ❤

This was awesome. I loved it. Good job. Also Glida is right. They shoul run away from danger instead of trying to be the scooby doo gang. LOL.

I did have a Teddy Ruxpin when I was about 4..and had it for years. My daughter is 3, and I just ordered it for Christmas for her. She LOVES for me and her daddy to read her stories, so I have no doubt that she'll adore Teddy Ruxpin. Thank you for taking the time to review it!!

I had a teddy ruxpin, there was a newer version that came out around the early 2000. But then when I got older I didn't want him anymore and I ended up throwing him away. Now I really want him back so I'll probably get the new one

Very cute indeed. I bought the Target exclusive version last month. I never had a Teddy Ruxpin but my friend did. I used to love the cartoon as a kid. I also had the Lullaby stories on VHS. It was closest I had to having a Teddy Ruxpin. LOL Now, as a grown up I have one finally. Great video! You should check my two videos of him and see my adjustments for him.

I've made it a hobby to repair Teddy Ruxpin's. Just got another patient in the mail yesterday, unfortunately his foam is heavily deteriorated. He'll need a "foam transplant" :o

At four and a half in 1985, I was a Frankenstein freak (still am) so I was attracted to the Teddy Ruxpin commercial back then so I wanted the toy very badly that year like all the other kids and I got one at Christmas. The fact that he made a comeback blows my mind, though.

I did have teddy I was a 5 year old kid :) remember the eyes were brown, the jacket had no buttons in the front , the shirt was darker too :) I recall no pants and also no mark on the foot

My parents grew up in the 80's

I had a toy similar to Teddy Ruxpin. His name was TJ Bearytales. He had a backpack that you put special cartridges in and each cartridge had a story, a song, and two games (except for the first day of school one which had a story, two songs, and a game). I loved him very much and used to line up my dolls around him so they could "listen" to him, too. #childhoodmemories

I have the original teddy rucpin from 1985 I used to put normal cassette tapes in him too and he would sing the songs

I have two original one with two servos in the hinge battery cover I also have the 3 servo version

I love how they kept the original voice for him. The eyes should be brown though. Other than that they did a great job on bringing him back.

In real life bears won't think twice about chewing on your skull, yet they are made lovable and cuddly to kids. Why is that?

Can't get teddy to work. New batteries are in, eyes are on, but when I press his right paw, it doesn't do anything.

I was expecting this doll to have a new voice and new stories by the looks of him. I like the original Teddy stuff, but I don't see the point in only revamping his appearance but not changing anything else. I can't tell if this is lazy or nostalgic. I like the expressive eyes but they should have kept his outfit and eye color similar to the original.

I think your channel and was hoping when you started this channel was going to focus more on, the dolls that you have already and then the dolls you will be getting. More collectible dolls and valuable dolls. I love LOL dolls, but you already are opening them on your main channel. Just a suggestion...

I didn’t want him, but i ended up having him.

I have the original Teddy Ruxpin. I have his friend Grubby which you could plug into Teddy and they would talk to each other and tell a story together. I have the different clothes he wore and a lot of the tapes and the books but along with that I have the Projector that went along with telling the stories. My brother and I would set up like a movie night and make popcorn during stormy days that we couldnt play outside and Teddy and Grubby told us stories. Then when my son came along he got to play with Teddy too. He loved him just as much as I did. When I saw Teddy was coming back I was ecstatic but now that Ive seen what It looks like its kind of disappointing. He doesnt look anything like the original character. Its great all that he can do but frankly I dont like the lcd eyes or the round head thats not Teddy. Its great his more squishy cause ya he was heavy. But im really having trouble with that head if you even look at the drawings his head isnt round.

P.S. : The toy looks amazing, except the eyes. These look real creepy, because as they are actual LCD screens, they are lit. I think this is creepy. Would prefer a teddy which does not have lit eyes.
