In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Thank you for sharing this insight, Mr. Bregman: Good leadership is not...knowing everything.... but in the STRENGTH of ACCEPTING that we dont know everything and in CREATING a SPACE for each one to HELP, CONTRIBUTE & be ENGAGED to be PART of the SOLUTION. -AHA Moment, 6/5/18

This is fantastic. Richard Branson created a business empire out of "not knowing" and I can only wish to see more leaders admit to that fact of life so I could gain some respect for that aspect of a business.

Did you finish the video? I think that what he was expressing is really prevalent in the U.S. culture, and I see it in the faces and emotional responses of my students and co-workers who won't admit when they don't know something--and actually look terrified or angry when they are faced with a situation or question to which they feel they have to give a "knowing" answer. What struck me from all of this was how he kept calling it a "scary" place--but I think he's describing something that is extremely culturally based. The value of admitting one doesn't know something for me, is two-fold: 1) When I admit it, it's the TRUTH. and 2) It DOES open the way for creativity.
