While you're absolutely right. The courts have ruled ad nauseam that the police have no legal duty to protect you nor will they likely happen to be there in such an instance. Perhaps if liberal prosecutors and judges wouldn't let violent criminals be repeat offenders over and over because of their social justice beliefs.
