He went to the cafeteria instead and was gone for 20 mins and when he came back he asked if the person came to do the birth certificate and Roxanne asked why.... As if it wasn't his business.

My uncle's ex-wife lied to my cousins that their divorce also meant he didn't want them anymore, just 'cause he started dating someone else before she did. He hadn't seen his kids in over 15 years. He passed away in 2013; he reconnected with his son maybe two years prior. He and his daughter didn't share a room until his funeral. Also, I remember an episode - I think it was Dr. Phil - where a mother made her daughters believe that their father had sexually abused them when they were kids. They didn't reconnect with their father until decades later.

The therapist is lying but they provide therapist on this entire teen mom brand that tend to send with the mom. Yes the experience the father provides the child does matter but if anyone doesn’t think that a mother can spoil and manipulate the experience for a child is sadly mistaken. What Brianna tells Nova does impact their relationship despite Devoin’s efforts.
