No child is a bully, anger issues don't come from nowhere. This is a trauma response, she just shows signs of somone who has been raised in a very dysfonctional household. I used to be like that with my mom, I just thought I was a monster, because I was told I was one since I was a child cause I had anger issues(I was just r*** at 2 years old and had unidagnosed ADHD...). I'm 21 now, I have been diagnosed from several mental illnesses because of trauma, and as long as I'm away from home I have no longer anger issues, actually I can't even remember the last time I lost my temper.

Mentors are statistically one of the most imperative connections in the lives of young people this greatly increase their ability for resilience. I highly support this. Parents and children are bound to have breakdowns in communication. Mentors, positive connections, and a source of strength for all members of the family. The parents should stop alienating her positive support person.

My mum is the exact same way. Watching this girl talk made me cry because depression and anxiety is so tough, and my mum also treated it as the mental illness before me. She used to try and “diagnose” me (wholly unqualified though she is) and say she can’t hear me when I’m upset. Same thing with the hugging. I won’t want a hug 100% of the time (obviously) and when I say no she doesn’t listen and I get cross of her touching me without my consent, and then when I ask for a hug she throws it back in my face saying that “I don’t know when I’m ALLOWED to hug you” - how about when I ask for it, or even when I don’t say no? Depression and anxiety also made me very angry and “prickly” as Dr Phil puts it, and I still feel so guilty about that. But I wish people saw it is a cry for help and not an attack, that if they listened to what was being said and not how it was being said then things would get better quicker. I’m glad she has this guidance coach to help her and who she can trust, I would’ve given anything for that

How does she know that a hug would fix her problem? She is starving for her mother’s attention. Don’t push meds or other people on her. Give her a hug; you are her mother.

As a mother of children entering their teenage years, I am learning that my kids just want me to be present when I am physically with them. Totally present, patient and open. Having fun with them more often greatly helps how they interact with me. I guess those sound-like obvious things parents do with their children but sometimes I don't meet the mark how my kiddos expected me to, and I just keep learning. Those go a long way.

I felt this more than I should. This girl looks so broken and she needs to be loved and cared about! I wish they would try this therapy called EMDR if focuses more on the mind's trauma the things she may not remember that had happened as a child. I was super depressed and acted out the same ways she did andIi was so broken and my bio mom had to put me in foster care and to be honest that was the best thing that had ever happened to me cuz I got the help I needed! And now my best friend says that I am the happiest and most bubbly person she has ever met! I wish that they could hear about EMDR cuz it really changed my life for the better!

Its not just the daughter in this situation, its the mom. The mom sounds like she needs some help to understand her child. Yes, I agree that the daughter maybe need help for the depression but as the daughter stated its not always just mental illness sometimes it could just be a hug that someone needs or maybe even a bit of time alone. The daughter shouldn't be sneaking out and doing drugs and things like that (as seen in another video) but the mother need to understand that life is hard, and just because we don't go to work like they do doesn't mean that we don't have school and a million other things on our minds. Help mother before you say anything about the kid here!! Another thing I know is that anger of this type is a trauma response and not something that is generally just learned. As someone been through trauma of a dysfunctional family and just previously got out of it, my anger issues that were very apparent in me before I got out of the situation have since died down and are almost non existent. Sorry for the long comment but theses are all things that needed to be said somewhere.

Now I don’t know the story and clearly we should not judge people from a 3min video but I feel all this child wants is to be cared for. Maybe I am biased because I’ve went through something similar but the mother cares more to be right and portrayed in a good light here by the way she is responding. They are triggering each other and that’s not healthy for neither of them. A mother should give off the energy of the nurturer,she brought you in this world and she is the one who should protect you and care for your needs and emotions. When the child doesn’t feel that connection , when it’s not heard and acknowledged that results into a lot of inside turbulences that the child goes through and later on in the adult life that can continue to affect their mental and emotional being ,their relationships,their view on life. This trauma can be healed but the triggers should stop,the child needs to feel safe or work through it with a therapist or a shaman to get a different perspective and be able to forgive. I thought this would be a short post but I guess I feel passionate about this topic :)

I think the daughter is alright. She seems starved for love. If you read this, much love and light to you. Also, please check your vitamins and mineral! I had deficiencies and b12, b6 and iron and d3 deficiencies and that can mimic depression. Do your own reaserch and dont trust the ranges blindly given on lab tests. I am saying that because young women menstruate and every third woman has a deficiency due to this. I‘ve had mine since I was about her age and it affected everything and not in a good way.

This girl needs meds so she can get hold of herself. Her parents are doing the best they can with what they've got. They seem willing to get her help and deserve just as much empathy as their daughter.

.... that's exactly what the mom is saying. This is why do many teenagers don't like or are always angry at their parents. This girl is literally begging her mom to hug her, and even just acknowledge her feelings. Did you not hear that? Apparently the other psychiatrist had the same opinion, that her mom needed to give her more love and time and less medications and doctors. This isn't a doctor problem.
@420kenna
@420kenna 2 года назад
she doesn't need meds to "get hold of her self" she needs a hug from her mom . not another hospital or another doctor she needs her mom to understand and realize her feelings . a doctor can't fix that . only a loving mom / family can .

As someone who trusts my teacher (who ⟟ call mom a-lot) more than ⟟ do my own mother ⟟ can relate to this a lot. No child is just troubled, or ⏃ monster, or has anger issues. They are influenced by their household or hav trauma from how they were raised and how they were treated or how their parents help them with certain things. They act how the do because of their family by what they do to them or for them. My mom sent me to ⏃ mental hospital for self harm and suicidal reasons, but that made my depression way worse then what it was. The people at the hospital barely helped for anything there was only at least 2 or 3 people who actually tried. My mom didn’t try and help nor did she try and understand how ⟟ felt when ⟟ returned. ⟟ now have to take Prozac every morning and we no longer have knives in the house anymore and I’m not aloud to use them either.
