Man, her catalogue is huge!!! Not one skip on any of her albums!! She had the largest African American fanbase out of any and she was nickname “Ivory Queen of Soul”!! She was extremely popular in the 70s/80s. She worked with Rick James sometimes, too, but she was great solo. Great bassist, too. She's a legend.

Love Teena. I saw her in concert. Thank God I was in the front row. I actually held her hand while she sang this song. Brought tears to my eyes. I said to myself "How does that power come from someone so tiny?" She was about 4'11". Shorter than 5 feet, for sure. She was amazing!

Teena Marie. Very powerful voice. Square Biz is my favorite song by her. She has a very soulful voice. I agree lyrics are everything. Better late than never.
