The main reason I preferred my vintage Mutations figures when I was little was because I remember them being better articulated and easier to stand up. It was also the closest thing we had to displaying our boys sans bandanas. The transforming aspect was cool, but the pet turtle form only really makes sense if they're mid-transformation just because of their size. I mean, that little boy wasn't exactly schlepping Galapagos turtles in that fishbowl. Why anybody would sign off on 2012 Mutations Raphael's face sculpt is beyond me. Ugh!

I had so many good childhood memories with the Mutations line from the '90s. While the turtles look bulky, which is understandable considering the transforming gimmick, they were fun toys to have and definitely a worthy addition to any TMNT fan's collection. These actually look better than the previous ones. I'm picking up a set for sure.

I live in Turkey and I wanted these figures when I was 4 years old, one day before my father had them brought from abroad. "Armağan"We went to a chain toy store called a giant ninja turtle figure when I was about to buy a giant ninja turtle figure, I saw that these came to Turkey and I immediately bought my mother and rafeal, the figures are still in my hands and they are clean.

The vintage ones at least had feet that matched the mini back leg feet when in pet form so it doesn't look as odd as these new ones with big feet.

I had the 2003 Raph and Donnie and I think Leo, but I popped of the legs when I transformed them and left the original arm for the front part..... This kinda makes more sense but looks too weird.

I wish they had given the Donatello figure that was first released in 2012 and the Battle Shell Donatello figure that was first released in 2013 the same bo staff that came with the mutations Donatello figure, Because the sculpt shape of the bo staff that came with the mutations Donatello figure looks exactly accurate of how the shape of Donatello's bo staff looks of the 2012/current TV series. And I like the pet turtles figures that came with the mutagen ooze better than the new mutations figures.

i had several mutations transforming turtles figures when i was kid.. I had Michelangelo, Shredder, Splinter and Bebop.. wish i still had them.. though these figures seem to have waaay more articulation then the originals did. .. on the other hand, they baby turtle forms looked better

HA! I can't believe they're still doing these! I JUST reviewed the classic ones before Christmas. Crazy how these always seem to come back around when I pull out the old ones (I think this happened when they brought these back with both the 2003 turtles and the previous movie ones). It's like my brain knows when it's time to bring back the mutations and gets ready to urge me to dig out the originals.
