This show was one of my favorites when I was young. Everyone on that show always broke character.....Gut wrenching laughter

Harvey Corman and Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett Show were famous for making each other break up laughing during these skits. That's part of the reason we watched so ardently.

The Carol Burnett Show has so many funny skits. Great show to dive into. The Carol Burnett Show was hysterical and ran for 11 seasons from 1967 to 1978.

I love it. Another Carol Burnett classic is the elephant story, which is also found in the outtabkes.

A great sketch from the "The Carol Burnett Show" is the 'Elephant Story'. This show is filmed in front of a live audience. Sometimes they improvved within a sketch. Tim Conway did this the most. Enjoy 😂

Legit live TV in front of a live audience is something we rarely see today. It was true theater!

That's the first dentist sketch I have ever seen and it was hilarious. 🤣 On my first visit to the dentist as a kid I was so frightened that I jumped out of the dental chair and ran off never to return until I broke a tooth when I was 22 years old! 😱

Harvey Korman (the patient) tried so hard not to laugh that he ended up wetting his pants during that skit.

Tim Conway, the Dentist, was always trying to get Harvey Corman, the patient, to crack up during the skits that they were in together. He was usually successful. Conway was pretty good about getting anyone he was in a skit with to laugh. He was ridiculously talented in the ways of comedy.

Its already happening. Last "young" dentist I went to was a total nut job. I ended up going to see a dentist that was pulling teeth since WW2 and he was awesome.

When Tim Conway (dentist) was in the military,the dentist on his military base did pierce Tim's cheek & the needle did go into the dentist's thumb.It's from that experience that this sketch came about.He tortured the other actor,making him break character, almost every time they did a sketch together

It was like this every week on that show. Just insanely funny. Nothing like it on TV anymore. Other great vids of this show to look at too.

The best part of The Carol Burnett Show was when the cast members cracked up and couldn't contain their laughter. This skit is almost completely improvised, so Harvey Korman, the guy int the chair, had no idea what Tim Conway was going to do or say. I think this sketch is way too long, but the last half is the best, and it's a classic of TV.

Yes the Elephant story skit is funnier then heck Tim Conway (the dentist ) always went off script to try and make his cast mates crack up. In the Elephant story skit Vicki Lawrence got him back good when he started some story about elephants
