I just wanted to give Alberto and Rae a big hug. I'm 54 years old and I don't remember ever feeling as unsure and anxious about what's happening in the US as I do now. The light hearted reacts are fun, but I also love seeing how especially the young people are going to react to serious issues.
I wanna see the parents/elders react to this issue. This is so heartbreaking. I may be living on the other side of the globe, but I can feel their grief and dismays.
I see alot of comments saying "just get a citizenship". Those people do not understand how hard it is for them to get one. It's hard being in their shoes. I'm a citizen here and I'm Hispanic. But my parents aren't and they can barley support us. They work everyday and seeing this just isn't right. We are humans too #theyarehumanstoo
Rolexbeatz Official but don’t you hate it’s just Hispanics but what about asian or other ppl who have the skin color like white ppl but might be form Scottish or somewhere else and I’m so against immigration bc they just want a better life
This is so sad my best friend is apart of DACA and it is so sad to see her like this. We are about to graduate high school and she is top of her class she has never failed a class she has gotten scholar ships to many schools and she has a chance to be valedictorian she wants to be a nurse and she is about to get this all taken away and taken back to a country that she has never been too #defendDACA
I'm hope so much that people like your friend are gonna be okay. A prime example of educated youth, I can't understand how someone could not want that for their country
I'm sure the factories hiring illegals only did that because they were more skilled, and not because they were paying them a quarter of the wage an American citizen wouod get...
tea, and i hate it when they say that because most of the people who are undocumented take on labour jobs, something that people who say 'tHeY taKe oUr jObS' weren't gonna do anyways
Jack Fredrick "we" speak for yourself. Im a citizen. Im a marine. Im happy to be protecting the lives of these immigrants coming in, they are the ones that work the hardest. Im happy to serve the land of the free.
Jack Fredrick how are you making the assumptions that they aren't smart? Why are they considered invaders, when they are attempting to gain citizenship, which takes 20 years+.
Make a "teenagers react to the reality of Venezuela", maybe so many people understand why we NEED to emigrate. I only speak of my experience, it is very discouraging for a person to see how your opportunities disappear every day.
My mom is my world and she is an immigrant. My dad is also and immigrant who works so hard. My sister is in the progress of getting Daca and know all of this happens. It makes my heart break for my family who I love so much and other immigrated people. I cry every time I go to sleep. I'm afraid that I will be separated from my family or in a country that is not a good place to be in. Everyone needs to stand with the dreamers and immigrated people. Let's make everyone hold hands and not be separated from all their hard work and risking life to get here.
The best part is that the kid who said that appears to be in favor of DACA and/or immigration reform just like the others. Pretty rare for someone that age to see when he's being pandered to.
To all the people saying "they broke the law, get over it" or anything similar to that I honestly hope you or any of your family are never in the position where you have to make such a hard choice like the one their parents had to make. Only then you'll see and feel what so many people are going through not just now but back then as well. My heart breaks for all the families who are now terrified of being separated. #defendDACA
It makes me sad watching Alberto and Rae cry because they are always happy. Like honestly, I've never seen them sad in the past 3 years that I started watching React and FBE
i like ben, he is smart, but sometimes he is being absurd, like the thing about free tuition fees for students in colleges, nonetheless respect him tho
I don't think that one kid who was talking about how it should be family based and not citizenship based understands that it's already not citizenship based. DACA is not a path to citizenship
NutBustingLizard it harder than people think but what Americans dont relise is that somewhere down the line there family are immagrants . so by doing this and by thinking this is right you r destroys the history of this country and what is suppose to make your country great
DACA recepients have to meet strict guidelines (at such a young age) such as no criminal records FINGERPRINTS, pay TAXES and pursue higher education. They are not eligible for financial aid or any government assistance. Every 2 years they have to pay $500+ filing fees and preferred to hire immigration attorneys to help secure the rigorous application. They showcase their value to american citizens. They are your nurses, teachers, first responders, and doctors.
Yato God but it's still an unconstitutional order that Obama made, congress has six months to come up with something and make it an official law but more than likely they won't and nothing will happen probably
America shouldn’t be taking away so many rights from people who worked hard to immigrate to a better country for better opportunities and their kids are raised to be living the best life they can and those rights shouldn’t be gone and daca shouldn’t be taken away from them
It was a step in that direction though it was temporary to filter out those who were not assets to this country to update and refine immigration policies.
My grandmother got deported recently and one week after she got forced back to mexico the 8.2 earthquake hit and she passed and if trump didnt do that then she would still be 30 minutes away. She was a beautiful woman who was so nice and never harmed anyone, why was that her fate?
where ever the whole family came from I bet it was dangerous . If people are going to keep saying "sent the parents back and leave the kids" all I have to say to that is be in their shoes. How would you feel if they seperated you from your family?
slenderman 123 and most of these people flee from socialist shitholes which the left side of aisle loves to embrace. Honestly I would just immigrate legally like my great grandfather did.
BlueDotInc good point but a lot of people aren’t accepted to immigrate legally or they need to immigrate immediately because they have no other choice like the gun to the woman’s head she had no other choice but to leave immediately
He is one of those people who refuse to allow the world to see him frown and get angry so instead he smiles, smiles when he angry, sad, pissed off, frustrated. I think it's optimism.
Honestly i was conflicted for some time, i used to think that its unfair, but now ive met a lot of people protected by daca that work so hard, but honestly it is unfair bc my parents waited so long to get a green card, and then people just get it.... but then thinking about getting separated from my family is horrifying, in the end i support daca, its not perfect, but it helped so many people.
Its really good you people highlight the recent issues. Please do a teen react to 'genocide in burma'- The most silent genocide. This is a serious issue of human rights violation and is mass genocide of humanity.
Or the Bhutanese ethnic cleansing. People have this idyllic view of Bhutan but it's not as beautiful as people think it is. They threw out a big portion of their citizens and they have been living in refugee camps in Nepal for the last 30 years, kids were born in those camps, in huts, surrounded by barbed wire and people with guns seperating them from normal society.
+Eva Verheij Exactly. And the UN is just turning a blind eye to this immense violation of human rights. The irony is that the burmese prime minister Aung San is a nobel peace prize holder and she has refused to go the UNSC on thia issue.
I support DACA,and I'm one of the million's of dreamers fighting for DACA. Thank you FBE for posting this video, and informing the public about our current situation.
To everyone whose response is "come here legally", let's be honest, if you had been in the same situation as those parents, you would have done the exact same thing to protect your children.
hcroussette Damn straight I would've, but I know good and well that the country I'm going to doesn't want illegals and if I get caught, I deserved to be thrown out, not allowed to stay in.
Austin Chandler and you would just accept the possible death sentence that has been placed upon your family? Just leave what you've made in this country and think that's ok?? Doubt it
I have been waiting for this video, it broke my heart watching this. It's great to see so many people my age passionate about this problem. I truly hope something right comes out of this. Like they said, you are a human and those people are humans too. People who are against DACA need to watch this and see how much it hurts others.
Typical that you're only thinking about one side of the argument. Try and look at it from the other side too. DACA be gone. Illegals back to your own country. If you want in another country, do it LEGALLY.
Defias Bandit "typical that you're only think about one side of the argument" meanwhile you fail to realize that these kids didnt choose to have their parents bring them here
As a dreamer myself, hearing about DACA being taken away really brought so much worry and stress. If I get this taken away I can no longer work my job and especially not go to college. This country is the only one I know as I was brought here at age 2. So many people don't understand that DACA doesn't really come with many benefits but the right to legally work in this country. I cannot apply for FAFSA or healthcare but people out there saying that we are taking away from these American citizens. All we want is an opportunity for success in the place that can possibly be the only one we know and have pride in without fearing that we might get kicked out simply because we lack a simple piece of paper.
How can people say immigrants don't deserve daca they should just come here legally. Kids don't make those choices and daca helps those kids have a closer to normal life since they didn't choose to move to the United States.
and yet, as we saw in the video, when the Republicans took issue with Obama expanding coverage to adults, suddenly they're awful people. You can't use this argument if you also think that adults should be protected form deportation.
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door." Might as well deport the Statue of Liberty, too. Give it back to France.
Did know that that's from a poem that was written in a contest to help raise funds for the Statue of Liberty's base and not even ON the Statue? Its on a plaque at the base of the statue, added years later. That said I do hope Congress does the right thing here.
Claudia Reyes You're absolutely right. The President at anytime can pass an unconstitutional executive order that violates the 14th amendment and not get impeached for it.
Everyone's so quick to forget that the US was founded by, created by, and made of immigrants. There was a time Irish people were persecuted when they came to the US, much like Mexicans and Latinos. They changed their last names to more 'American' names so that it wasn't obvious that they were Irish. And now so many people in the US come from Irish descent. Could you imagine being persecuted just because you were Irish? You didn't come from Ireland yourself, or you were just a child when your parents came over, but still people despised you because you were Irish.
To be in DACA there a bunch of rules and requirements you have to follow and that fair. The plan was that kids under it had to keep away from bricking the law to still be able to apply and keep their working permits. I understand we're the other side come from but DACA wasn't giving to people just like that. I have meet kids under DACA most of them just want to study and work just like the rest of us.
Graazifhy hopefully you go to hell. Citizens of America don’t understand how scared children are of getting separated. How scared immigrant parents are of getting separated.
Seeing Alberto crying is so surreal and heartbreaking (the other, too. Don't get me wrong), but Alberto is ALWAYS smiling, even when he first started getting emotional. But seeing that smile fading is so heartbreaking and I just wanted to hug him so badly (and the others as well)
Davin-Mario Rickmann He's a cinnamon roll And I want to hug him so bad Cinnamon roll (someone who is really cute and nice but bad things keep happening to them)
