To clarify for some people. You need a certain amount of designs uploaded for them to appear in search. And if you get suspended just write them a letter. I wrote the a letter asking what just happened, and we sorted it out.
@@DetourShirtsGreetings ive uploaded my files and am at loss as to what happens next i press get started and im told i have to wait 24 hrs to upload more but was expecting like redbubble you then put your designs onto products....can you help me pls
Juno, Once again, a great video. Thank you! Q: I love your clarity of conveying information, step by step, and I enjoy your enthusiasm. Q: If you wanted to keep it simple, and you are just starting out with POD, what are the 2 software tools you would use? If there is a 3rd that is a must, what would that be? Thank you!
You are so welcome! It really depends on what POD site you are on and your skill level.... I'm going to assume that the person has no design skills and is not on Amazon. If that is the case I would suggest Canva FREE, Photopea. I know you can design in Canva but it's nice to have Photopea to do stuff you can't do in Canva. Research is key but I think you can get a lot of that done on the POD site.
Another good video - thank you! You mentioned some of the designs were a mashup of photography and drawing. I use photos in some of my designs that have been "artified" to have an abstract look. Have been wondering if there are any special techniques or considerations to get those to print out with colors intact. I have Affinity Designer (just learning it) and Affinity Photo.
@@DetourShirts So, open the RGB image in Affinity and convert document to CMYK, then paste the converted doc into Designer? For some reason, having trouble wrapping my head around this one.
I started Teepublic a month ago, so thank you for posting this. Quite a bit i didn't knowin your vid :) so many thanks. Two sales so far, but haviing trouble uploading to their site. Just hangs.
Thanks for the tutorial ! I have 12 designs to start with but none are active they are all in the "inactive" category of my shop. How to make them active? THANKS
They should be active by default...TeePublic may have deactivated them for some reason... you could edit them and publish them again and see what happens.
Hi Juna, I have another question in regards to how to get paid when a sale is made. I set my method is PayPal. Do I have to register PayPal account in order to get paid or so that money can be transferred to PayPal account, then to bank account? Thanks
Yes you do.... I don't know if it's called registering but it's better to tie it to a bank account... that's how I do it anyway... There may be a way that they could pay you by check but I feel like that is more of a hassle
Trying Teepublic again for the Umpth time, after getting automatic shutdowns in the past. This time I'm not using designs I already have on RB and uploading one new design per day. So far so good. Looking forward to seeing what Q4 brings. BTW setting up the storefront what size should the banner be?
What ever application you feel comfortable with.... Procreate would work if you have it... Affinity Designer on an iPad would work too....lots of drawing apps for tablets out there....or you could draw on a piece of paper and scan it and then trace it in Affinity Designer or Photoshop or Illustrator.... Lots of ways to do it.
It means TeePublic has the rights for specific movies and tv shows... not all of them but some.... here is the list... teepublic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024966893-Current-Brand-Partnerships
Hai Brother Hope your doing well Just i opened teepublic account and started designing my products. Its because of you. And please help me how to get sale and how i can improve my sales. Thank you and waiting for your replay.
Hi, Juna enjoyed the tutorial. I just have a few questions: Can I use my real name as my store name? what kind of payment account do I need to use like PayPal, or my own personal bank account? Does TeePublic pay the sales tax?, and Do I have to drive my own traffic to my shop? Sorry for all the questions, "I'm Old School" I ask a lot of questions before I take on something new. Thanks Again for Sharing!!!
Let's see if I can answer all of these. Yes you can use your name if you want. TeePublic pays by PayPal or Payoneer around the 15th of each month. You will have to pay taxes on what you made with TeePublic at tax time but not a sales tax for each sale. You don't have to drive traffic but it does help. Good luck
Hey Juna!!! I have a question about the image sizing. If I already have all of my designs sized at 4500 x 5400, would those be ok to upload or should I resize them to what Teepublic reccomends specifically? Great video!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks for the info!!! Like button hit!
I have checked your video on this.. after I had created a product.. what happens next? Must I market it myself.. OR is it going to get marketed by TeePublic?
Depends what category you are on.... If you are on the Apprentice category you will have to market your stuff..... if you are on Artisan they will give you visibility on search and market stuff for you if it's a good seller for them.
Thank you so much detour , My design can't show up in search bare , I have mailed teepublic support and they advice me to get the traffic by your swlt to the store ! Do you have any method to help us bro ?
@@DetourShirts i did all this this things and its look professional ,,, did you think that related to numbers of design on the store or something ? Can I make TikTok ad to my store to get more traffic ?
It's easier to share on places like Twitter and Facebook where they let you put links and a possibly a photo.... You could share links in stories on IG if you have a certain number of followers
Simple question. I've already set up a shop, with more than 100 designs, but I cannot find any of them when I log out from my account. Even when I am searching via exactly name/tittle of my design. That means no one from potential customers are nor able to find my Tshirts, no finds=no sells, right ? Any advice ? :) TIA
That's right... you are most likely in the Apprentice category... learn about the new categories in my latest video...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NO6VYVUN3jE.htmlsi=R0Rs8QZd-4CExEMB
Thanks for the explanation! I only have two questions left, so I‘m pretty new to stuff like this and i was wondering.. do I only sell the design i create? And does Teepublic itself do the rest like printing and shipping?
You can actually like and sell stuff other people make to your shop and you will get an affiliate sale.... and yes TeePublic will take care of the printing and shipping... it's pretty sweet
Nope... TeePublic prices are set depending on your category.... Artisans get $4 for each shirt sold ($2 if it's on sale)..... Apprentices get $3 for each shirt sold ($1 if it's on sale)... Here's a link...www.teepublic.com/earnings
With A.I., I can do a lot of designs. Can a store get too many designs? Would it be better to open multiple stores and be more specific with categories? (too many flavors of ice cream makes it hard to choose.)
I'm at 1000+ designs in my store and it seems to be doing fine. I find it's harder to run multiple stores by yourself. If you had a team dedicated to each store and a certain style for each store that might work.
Hi, how would you know if your designs are visible to customers or if someone view or look at your designs? I have 80 designs uploaded into TeePublic for 2 to 3 weeks and have no way to find out if my designs are online or are seen by people out there. Thanks
@@DetourShirts thanks. I'll try. I reached out to teepublic explaining the issue and i was told no guarantee all designs are showing up the search engine....
Thank you for this video, Juna!! Now I think I know why after making 2 accounts, I got suspended both times!! They never answered why, definitely not copyright or trademark breach, am now thinking it was the designs!!
Same here BELINDA. Except the sizes I now think. Did you have to make a new email acc or anything like that to reapply? I may give it another shot now. Thanx!
I register my self on teepublic today only i am am facing a problem .When i public my design teepublic is saying activate or configure atlest one product.
Hello! I'm from Brazil and I'm looking for extra income. I discovered this site but I'm totally lost without knowing where to start. I found your video and it was very enlightening, thank you! I will watch another
Thank you so much! Very good video I have questions Can a single word be a copyright ?for example I have this words in my designs : hope, Love , unbreakable , warrior. One of this word is a movie name An other word is a song name The other two words are trademarks Is it possible to use this words in Merch by Amazon designs?
Sometimes one word can be trademarked but it's very unlikely and it's usually not for tshirts. I think the words you have are fine as long as you are not referencing the movie or song.
Thanks Juno! One question: Is there a way to duplicate the artwork for a mug so the image is on both sides? ie: Without creating new artwork using the mug template?
I found your video because I am getting to the point where I think I may have to create my own art for the shirts I keep hoping someone else will design XD. Is that a terrible reason to start a store on Teepublic? I love classic PC games but that's a much smaller and older fan group. How long do they take to review a design before you know if it's okay to sell on the site?
TeePublic doesn't take long to review designs. Creating your own art for is great and have a set topic is an awesome way to start. Design for what you are passionate about.
I have a new store and have been trying to upload images for the cover photo and avatar, but when I click on the upload button, it just dithers out, and I'm not able to upload anything. Any ideas how to fix this?? TIA for any help!!
@Detour Shirts thanks for always responding to questions!!! So greatly appreciated!!! Well, I did figure it out. For some reason I could not do an upload on my phone, but I was able to on my laptop! Go figure! 🤷♀️. Possibly screen resolution??? IDK!
So TeePublic shirt sales are always $4 profit unless it's on sale, then you get $2 per sale.... By contrast if you have a $19.99 on Amazon you will get almost $5 and if you sell it at $20.99 on Amazon you will get above $5 per sale.
Hi Juna, I do a lot of work with public domain customized for my needs but ...is that going to work for Teepublic? I am not a commercial artist I create most of my designs on Canva.
when i upload my desgin this pops up on the site :- "There were some issues publishing your design. Please make sure at least one product is activated and configured." how can i solve this......pls help
Great great video, my concern is watermarks on the t-shirt item it self I see it on the design but not on the shirt that's once reason I left spreadshirt and I really liked spreadshirt but no watermark in my store.
@@DetourShirts Thanks for answering sorry I didn't make it clear... Teepublic has it on the square design image which is great it's not on the t-shirt image on their site or my store I guess that's fine. On Spreadshirt it's on the design image and on the t-shirt image on their store but not on the sellers store at all that's why I left spreadshirt no watermark whatsoever on your store. Thanks keep up the good work here on youtube.
Hello Detour Shirts, I have a question: it is necessary to have a previous store to use Teepublic or it is like Redbubble? Thanks in advance to the attention to my question. Greetings from Portugal
Hi Juna, thank you for the explanations. I was wondering how many design I have to upload inorder to make my store visible on republic. I have uploaded almost 50 designs, but yet it doesn't appear. Do you have a suggestion? I thought republic would deal with the marketing part, without me uploading sharing my designs on other social medias!
Your store should be visible after about 2 weeks or less.... as far as showing up in search, that only happens with you are in the artisan category. That can take some time. You will have to be creating designs that people want to buy
Hey, I have 1500 designs uploaded in Teepublic but I am barely making any sales, my best month was christmas when I made $100. But now it's like around $30... Can you make a video on how to have more sales ? Thanks in advance :)
I’m having a problem where the previews of my designs look pixelated. The “how to upload” part of the faq says you can use 150 or 300 dpi. Could it be because I used 300 dpi?
It depends... Did you check your designs before uploading them? What size did you build them in? If you made them in inches then yes... 300 dpi. If you made them in Canva, sometimes they don't give you the full size you created the design at.
When I am uploading a pic ( Your pic can't support message) always showing 😢 Is this problem? I am watching your video in which same message showing but u uploaded it 😅 😕 whats the matter?
Yeah... I use 4500x5400 and in order to fit all products I should really use 5000x5500. The bigger size is for large tapestries.... it needs to be at least 5499x5499 but everything else works
