I'm starting to understand YB's perspective: YN gives him hope in humanity(let's just say) and he falls for them. He has it in his mind that everything YN does is because they love him and they are dating, but that's most likely not the case given the gameplay. So every choice YN makes is in accordance with his actions which to him seems like they are playing with him, going back and forth. Of course, that leads to him forcing YN to stay by chopping their leg off. In the end, YN, or us as the player, restart the game only to realize that the pattern repeats as he refuses to give up on them. (Also, YB is aware that this is a game and knows YN restarts every time he fucks up.) When we realize the repetition, we simply quit the game and YB is aware, hence him crawling out of the screen and approaching us. Damn I typed a lot...
@@ShipperFireMist Its really intriguing to see the perspective of Peter(in the video's scenario) given that, unlike other yandere characters, he actually confuses his feelings of gratitude with love which becomes obsession as the events unfold. Normally, yandere characters cling to the desire of having a connection with someone who seems kind and/or easy to manipulate.
The conclusion of what I can take in this video, is that In the original game, we felt like we're being controlled, maybe tortured, and played by him. While in his perspective, we're the one's who actually pulled all of the strings. Since we are the "Player"
I'm way to nice of a person so I already felt way to bad to actually be mean to him, especially with how outrageously angry n ext those responses are if you pick them 😭😂 and how hurt he'd act even if it's just a game I'm that kind of person that could never get past papyrus in the genocide route cuz I'd always end up sparing him lol, I just feel way to bad even if I didn't know the game was meta n stuff, and when I did kill him I ended up restarting cuz I regretted it so much only to try to do genocide route all over again n again, eventually i gave up cuz i just couldn't do it 😭..
@@fretfuledestroy5042 You're nice and can't be mean to him huh? Did you know there's a route that you can choose to throw hot coffee on him (that he bought for you & him)? ...yeah that hurt me too I couldn't even look at the screen when it happened
This is showing it in Peter's perspective. I like it. The Y/N in this video is not that nice. And I dig it. if I were in Peter's shoes, watching and letting everything happen over and over again, I'd also see Y/N as very cruel. Rejecting me over and over again. Sometimes restarting the game to give me affection all of a sudden. I'd see them as a "player" . And they are the "player"
I absolutely adore this characterization of both the player and Peter! The art style is amazing, the metaness is wonderful and comes to a head at the end, and its all around a wonderful piece of art
It really showcases how relationships irl can happen. People get pissed or annoying over clingy or almost border-line obsessive partners. But we all forget, unless it was a mental health issue that occurred years before they started dating, someone caused that someway somehow. And, rn, y/n is that person and YB's just lost his shit from the amount of times its happened with how many different players?
I actually love the fact that we are even worse than Peter for a change (since usually the MC doesn't change or never get to be the villain), even because it actually is true but I can't say much since most of it is patreon exclusive for a reason. Still really great, I love this animation. Edit: Oh my God I love the ending so much
When YB was popular I followed a lot of fan artists and animators and the amount of gender envy i had to most non-binary interpretations of Y/N was absolutely crazy
This is soooo amazing ! The animation's artwork, drawing style, song annd esp the perspective shifting between yb & y/n. The whole thing was rlly good :D
Okay, the part where Peter EXITS the screen and into the real world kinda shocked me. ....I know I should delete my DEMO version of the game, but I don't wanna- Peter is a fucking bean to me I wanna keep qvq
I can't either, but I'm guessing it's something about Y/N leaving him again, or maybe he's asking us (Y/N) if we'll accept him this time. Idk, just a thought, correct me if I'm wrong- :0
Ooh I love the feeling of emotional manipulation and confusion here 💕😍 MMm, unhealthy love-related pain. One of my favorite emotions to explore in art side note: I've never actually played this yet, but it looks like an awesome game!
(replying because youtube won't let me edit my comments for some reason) the rest of the comments section has already said almost everything else I want to comment about the story and animation, but once again: criminally underrated video.
i need a little context about the part where the girl doesn't have a leg. i need context in general lol. i just clicked on this video because the thumbnail looked cool
