Im a welder so mu charger deals with a lot of metal dust. I had a spark in my charger and now it slowly blinks red meaning it's waiting for another battery to charge. Even if i only have one battery on it still acts like Ive got 2 at once. Would you think that would be the switching regulator that you mentioned? Sorry if i explained that bad

Your explanation sounds fine, but if it's powering up and flashing red, it's not going to be the switching regulator in the video. It's going to be something on the charge controller side of the circuitry. The switching regulator on the high voltage side is used for converting the plug power into the lower voltage required for charging batteries. It doesn't have anything to do with detecting batteries or their charge status.

I plugged my charger into a 240v ( unknowingly)and it sparked inside and wouldn't work anymore. I'm pretty sure I blew the fuse. Where can I get another one?

The fuse in this one is a 3.15A 250VAC/125VDC Slow Blow radial fuse from DigiKey, part number: 486-1473-ND: www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/schurter-inc/0034-6620/1730519
