The Tef6686 is the winner here for me. With the Elad there seems to be some sort of bubbling noise on the signal. 73s

Thanks for the comparison Mad. I've been considering one of those 6866 receivers but I've not got yet got any further than monitoring the FB group.

I have TEF6686 3. different devices and i'm super satisfied with all of them . No any other of my many radios can beat them on FM especially! 73s

In this case, the choice would be based on the price. Elad FDM-S2 costs 5x more.

The Elad being an SDR & able to monitor more than one frequency in real time would of course be more expensive. But if SDRs are not your thing, then the TEF will do perfectly fine.

I like them both, although really the SDRs provide a complete experience.
