Beginning at the San Fernando Tunnel, the trip includes a run on the Saugus Line before joining the Mojave sub at Palmdale for trip over the Tehachapi Mountains. Part 2 is a southbound trip out of Bakersfield to Palmdale.

Back when the pool was double-ended! When did that go away? 98? I remember seeing a lot of Basin guys show up in Bakersfield when the hub agreement changed.
