Wow! Just learned of Hammer Armament while researching a quality holster for my Stacatto C2 with TLR-7A and Trijicon SRO. Apparently, most holster makers dont have an L2 retention holster for this setup...in fact Hammer is the ONLY one I've found so far! Yes, that's it in the video.... And I just bought a TON of Bladetech's Tek mounts!!!! At first, I was a bit hesitant to try a new product like this, but I have NOT been disappointed so far! The versatility of the system is awesome, letting me quickly remove my guns and holsters (as well as knives, mags and other gear) from my belt, and secure them to anything that will hold the mount recievers. My handgun and holster now securely mount in my vehicle, under my desk, and between bed and nightstand. Swapping locations is literally a snap. Your analysis of the pros and cons yielded the same points as mine. Adds a little bulk and rides a little further out from the body, but its acceptable for ME. Not a body concealment design, but perfect for swapping loadouts quickly. I am curious about 2 things... 1. Have you tried the system on the Molle-loks? They seem to be durable but I havent tested them yet. 2. Do you find the tek mount minis to be sufficient for fully loaded 30 rnd AR mags? Blade tech shows the full sized disks and mounts for this use. Thank you for the great video and awesome products! Liked, Subscribed, and ordering a full belt setup ASAP!

A full AR mag weighs about the same as a 26 round staccato mag( about a pound). The force exerted on the pouch and mount during a very fast reload is much more than that. I haven’t found any issue with the tek mount mini on an full mag of any sort. As for the Molle loks, I’ve used them but do not prefer them. If I want to mount these to Molle I use guardian warrior solutions adaptors.

@hammerarmament Excellent! Thank you for your observations. There are a lot of opinions out there, but those from experienced persons are much rarer and valuable. The Guardian Warrior Solutions molle adaptors are indeed MUCH better. Thank you!

What kind of screw/ bolt setup is used to mount the male piece to a holster or mag pouch or the female piece to a belt or whatever?
@hammerarmament
@hammerarmament 5 месяцев назад
If you buy the kits, they come with hardware for mounting the male piece to the holster. I suggest the tek mount mini on tek lok kit for mag pouches etc. That will have the female receiver mounted on a tek lok already so it’s ready for any belt. For holsters I generally recommend the tek mount on duty drop kit for most cases. The receiver will be mounted on a drop offset mount that is ready to slide onto a belt, though you could go with a tek lok instead of the duty drop if you wanted the holster higher on the belt.

Listen people. Just say no. If you buy this, it will not work with your current holster. So then you have to buy Tech Mounts holster. The problem is, their holster selection is horrible and none of my model pistols are even offered. They dont have a sig p229. And if ypu get tue Tech Mount mini, how ypu gonna attach the little round disk to yoir mag pouch? Drill holes into it?

You are incorrect. The tek mount will work if your current holster has standard bladetech (tek lok) hole spacing, or safariland QLS hole spacing. Which are the 2 standards that 90% of holster companies use. If you currently have an RTI hanger, this will also likely work as those use one of the 2 spacing as already mentioned. You don’t have to buy a bladetech holster to use this. We are not Bladetech and our holsters are backwards compatible with this. If you have a pancake style holster, paddle holster, or iwb holster, then it will not work. If you want to see if it works with your current holster before hand, look at the mounting hole pattern on your current mount. If there are 3 screws mounted in a triangular pattern, measure the distance between the top 2 holes. If that center to center distance is either 1.25” or 1.5”, this will most likely work. Then, If the bottom hole is either 1” or 1.75” from either of the top holes, you are good. For the tek mount mini, measure the mounting hole spacing on your current mag pouch. If the holes are between 0.85”-1.05”, these should work just fine. Our older mag pouches didn’t fit these, so we redesigned them to make them compatible. This was addressed in the video. This video serves to highlight a solid new mounting option that we support in our products. Even if it doesn’t fit all your current holsters, it will work with many and is a solid QD option going forward.

@@hammerarmament i emailed blade tech. They said it will not work with my holster. They said they do not make a holster for 75% of Sig Sauers. So, how am i wrong?
@hammerarmament
@hammerarmament 8 месяцев назад
@@-kepha8828 because you are assuming that because it might not work with YOUR holster that it won’t work with ANY holster. The reason so many holster companies, us included, don’t make holster for most sigs is because sig had a really bad habit of changing dimensions of their guns in the middle of production runs in ways that affect holster fit. So just because you have a 229 holster doesn’t mean your buddies 229 would also fit. It wasn’t even a logical change like, from 2000-2016 it was “A” variant and after that it was “B” variant. It was inconsistent throughout. It’s a customer service nightmare, especially so for guns that are in pretty low demand. In comparison glock might have generational changes in their guns but it’s at least consistent in each generation. And newer versions are generally backwards compatible. Less common guns have less support. But that doesn’t mean that these mounts don’t work.

@@hammerarmament i dont need to hear your excuses. The fact was that this company does NOT make holsters for MANY different pistols, to include 75% of Sig Sauer pistols. Im making people aware. Your just trying to push sales. We are not the same. I am for the people, you are for money and pushing sales. Again, people, stay away from this junk.

@@-kepha8828 uh-huh. Anyways, for anyone else reading this that isn’t simply upset that a company doesn’t validate their own personal choices, the tek mount will work on a variety of different manufacturers holsters, not just Blade tech or Hammer Armament holsters. If you have any questions about compatibility of your current holster, see the above explanation on how to check.
