Thank you for the review. I returned some generic tek-loks due to holes not matching up my polymer sheath but I feel a bit regret seeing how your mount turned out.
It would depend on the context. If you were camping in the woods or on a bushcraft course then yes. If you were walking down the street then no. You must have a good reason for carrying a bladed article outside of the sub 3" non locking parameters. A jury may end up deciding if your reason is good. This carry gear could be used for airsoft or any number of other activities. And it may be viewed in many countries which have very different laws.
I've never had much luck with ratchet belts. The ratchet itself usually holds fine, but the cut end always comes detached from the buckle when those teeth shear off. Are the teeth on this carry belt made of stronger stuff than the usual spelter? If so I may get one just to hold my trousers up.
The ratchet belts on ebay and amazon from nameless companies at cheap prices are hit and miss quality wise. These are made by Nexbelt and they are great quality.
